First off, an admission. I stayed at the Hotel D'Inghilterra for just one night for a conference in the meeting rooms opposite the hotel, so I didn't get to appreciate the apparently excellent location. The hotel is in a plush central neighbourhood, with very smart clothes shops nearby, although I don't know if there are any places nearby to buy...

The breakfast is great, with both hot and cold selection, the bar is open til 12pm so its a perfect place to relax. the rooms...

I had a very short visit to rome for only one day, and I booked this hotel due to the location in the center of Rome; although I had no time for any shopping or even walking around, but the hotel was in a very good and central location next to all of these fancy shops. The staff was great...

Dear Guest, We are glad you enjoyed your quick stay at the Hotel d'Inghilterra. Thanks for your review. Our property is indeed in a very good location easy to navigate from and to when you come to Rome. Besides being in the lovely residential area, we are happy that you enjoyed the service, the staff and our restaurant. We are...

The best thing I liked about this hotel is the location off course. The staff is very friendly. The hotel is quite old but has been kept well. Rooms are a bit small (eg breakfast room, bar, bedrooms). The bedroom bathroom was not to the level of the hotel. It was with the tiniest shower we could hardly fit and...

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for staying with us at the Hotel d'Inghilterra on your last trip to Rome. We sincerely regret that the hotel was not up to your expectations even though you enjoyed the location and the staff. We would love the opportunity to change this first impression! I have stayed there over a weekend during a short city-brake with my wife and friends. The hotel location is superb, couldn't ask for better, with all shops, restaurants and other points of interest in the vicinity(such as Piazza di Spagna, Fontana di Trevi etc). The room is nice, albeit a bit too small(we've had and executive double), but all...

Quite old hotel, upper floors recently refurbished. Staff is very helpfull, breakfast is excellent.. Of course there are tiny things which can be improved.. But location is what gives edge comparing to other five stars hotels in Rome .. It is in the middle of high fashion shopping district in Rome , as well as max 10 minutes walk to...

We had a 4 day break here. Do not expect a faceless modern hotel but an older style that prides itself on service, and that is what you get. The young receptionist gave the best welcome we have ever received at any hotel, and was so helpful in every way. Our room was good, clean and relatively spacious. The bathroom...

Best location. The room (382) was small, old, not so clean. Tiny bathroom. In the lobby, old broken furniture. No very helpful staff. Not a husband congratulated on his birthday - never happened before in 5 stars hotel. Hassler is much better.

Expectations are high for a 5 star hotel, not because of any names or for any history behind it, but because it is a standard. This hotel, did not reach those standards. Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighbourhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighbourhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina.
