The other half and I spent 3 nights in Rome for a city break, having been changed to this hotel after our initial booking of its sister hotel, the Aldrovandi Villa Borghese fell through due to renovation works. The hotel is situated on a busy main road, Via Veneto, and is a brisk five minute walk from the nearest Metro...

Top service, location, food and room. The decoration is luxurious and the room service is probably among the best I've tried. And it's surprising that the toothpaste they sent me was Marvis. The concierge is friendly and helpful. I chose it because of the Leading Hotels of the World, and it's beyond my expectation.

Although the rating is a five star,I would give it a three! Rooms are old, badly decorated. Menu could be improved! The only good thing was the massage! There are a few shops around. Close by the hotel is a lovely park!

We stayed here for one night with an excellent FHR deal from American Express. The Regina Hotel Baglioni in Rome is great--US hotels could learn a lot from them. Check in was pleasant with a personal walk through of the room by the check-in hostess (and a refusal of tip). Concierge gave two great restaurant recommendations. Room was surprisingly spacious (I was prepared for something small) and bathroom was large and luxurious. Breakfast buffet...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
