We booked this hotel on points for our first night in Rome. We weren't sure what to expect since it was fairly close to the Termini Station, which we try to avoid. However, we were very pleasantly surprised. The hotel was clean, secure and art deco certainly describes the decor. The staff was pleasant and attentive. In 20 minutes (with...

This hotel really isn't a good location for exploring Rome by foot, one would pay quite a bit for taxis to the center, BUT it is a great value for cute, trendy rooms that are cheerful and clean. And the staff was great! I would recommend this hotel to anyone on a budget who doesn't mind being outside the city...

My wife and I have just returned from a 4 day midweek break in Rome and stayed 3 nights here. Service was superb, recepionists couldnt be more helpful. Free web access. Buffet style breakfast was very good. Only about 4 mins from Metro station. Forget other reviewers comments about sex shops, seedy area etc etc..... there are very definitely much...

Very nice hotel, nice staff (I had suffered from a shock when arriving in Rome, with the woman selling the tickets for the train from airport to city trying to talk me into taking the more expensive bus, and being extremly rude! - the receptionist on the other hand was helpful, and had good English). Location seems very convenient, close...

This hotel is in a nice part of Rome near the embassy. It's located on a side street, so not too noisy at night. The metro station is very close by. You would never know it's a part of a hotel chain because of the unique art deco style, tastefully decorated. The separate sleeping area had hard wood floors and...

I visited with my partner and his 13 year old son on the 9th august to 13th august. Before we travelled I had contacted the hotel via e-mail for some rather petty information (like was there an iron in the room as we were not checking bags on our flight and didn't want to take one) they replied straight away....

I cannot recommend the Art Deco highly enough. The hotel is located within 10 minutes of the Rome main train station and is clean, excellently decorated and has great staff, all at a very affordable price. We arrived early and our room was not ready. The reception desk stored our bags and let us freshen up before heading out until...

We stayed here for 5 nights . The hotel was a real treat, and luxurious compared to my normal 3 Star experiences. I was worried about staying in a big chain (Best Western) as i wanted a boutique experience, but i needed have worried. The room we stayed in was large with a lovely 4 poster bed, and ensuite with...

The hotel is in a seedy part of Rome with a strip joint 100 ft away with a triple x theater. The hotel is very old, the rooms are very small, and service was non existent. Their bathrooms smelled like urine and their air conditioning system barely worked. Their elevator or "lift" is the size of a shoe closet and...

Dear Rykylex, thank you for your feedback because it allowed us to know, and solve the problem of bad smell in the bathroom of his room. If we come at once aware of this problem we would have solved immediately, and for sure, we could improve its rating in respect of our hotel. Sincerely Emanuele Faini Sales & Marketing Manager

We really enjoyed this hotel. We were here for 2 nights and would stay again. the bed was very comfortable and the room was a good size. It had 2 windows, neither had a fantastic view, but the fresh air was nice. All staff were helpful and spoke English very well. The breakfast was good, especially the fruit, yogurt and...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
