Spring Break trip to Rome, Italy. I was sure what we were going to get because we booked through Costco for the first time, ever. The best experience. Room was clean, everything was clean. The complimentary breakfast was American style (Thank God). The staff was very friendly and nice. The restaurant was a bit pricey, but the staff provided valuable...

This hotel was stunning! Perfectly close to the train station where you get off at. Is only a 5/10 min walk to hotel (somehow we took the wrong turning and took us 40 mins 🙈) once in there, you step into a large marble entrance and the room was spacious, clean and pretty. We stayed in the classic double room...

We visited this hotel a couple of weeks ago and could not fault anything. Location is great once you have your bearings nothing is to far and the hop on hop bus stop is a few mins walk away, breakfast here was good to plenty of choice. There's plenty of restraunts near by which are reasonable to. Rooms were lovely...

This was our first time in Rome and I didn't know what to expect for hotels. I was looking for hotels near the train station so we didn't have to drag our luggage on buses or the metro. Finding this hotel was kind of a crap shot considering all the hotels around Termini Station, but it turned out to be...

I stayed at this hotel many times when I flew for an Airline back in the 70's & 80's so I knew that it was a good spot for a weekend in Rome. We were picked up at the Airport by Stefano's RomeCabs which I had booked up on their website from UK. Great Service, and was collected from my...

I was in the Starhotels Metropole for 2 nights and it was a pleasant stay. The breakfast was good also. There's nothing to complain about, other than the very simple misunderstanding during check-in, which was solved immediately and professionally. I would surely recommend this hotel and would stay here again with pleasure.

The hotel itself is very well located (near the train station of Rome termini) and it is properly maintained. The interior and the rooM is of a 4 stars with all the eminities. Breakfast is, I would say, below average for so many stars and I would expected better selection and quality. Very negative point: extremely poor wifi connection and...

I picked this hotel because it was 3 blocks away from Rome Terminal. This hotel posits itself in the center of Rome. Its service excelled. An economical Chinese restaurant awaits about 1 block away. The nearby Rome Terminal offers all a traveler's need to survive this beautiful city.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
