Very centrally located by the train station. We arrived in the evening and passed by many restaurants before we came to the hotel. We didn`t have any problems finding the entrance as we had received an email with description of where to go and what to do. The reception is on the first floor, but the door was open and...

The location of this hotel is great. Nice and close to colosseum and super close to the train station making it so easy to get to from the airport. The rooms are big, there isn't much of a view from most of the rooms but sitting out on the roman terrace at night is lovely. Other travellers have commented about...

I did recently stay with here, but only for 1 of my original 4 nights. When we arrived at the hotel, we found the large wooden doors but had no instructions on how to enter. After a couple minutes, someone else walked up and opened the door so we followed him in. He went to the elevator and went up....

After long flight n jetlag we just wanted to be close to termini, the neighborhood is kinda messy cuz there are lots of indian, arabs, shops like in any big city (like canal st, calle once, etc) it doesnt mean that is dangerous, just busy... The "hotel" is inside and old building...very clean, neat, good wifi, nice beds, tv, brand...

Stayed here for 4 nights in may. Would definitely return. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms very clean and comfortable, our room opened out on to the terrace which was worth the upgrade as we used it every morning and afternoon after a busy day site seeing was nice to unwind before going out in the evening. Location was perfect...

Roman terrace is a nice little place. The rooms are nice and there is roofterrace. You have to make your own breakfast. There is a kettle in the room and in te kitchenette. It is very near the Termini stations. I will for sure stay there the next time i am in Rome

The hotel is located very close (2 minutes walk) from the main Termini train station and allows very good access to the historical sites of the city. Once you arrive you will be buzzed in and you need to get to the 2nd floor where the reception is located. The building is used by other businesses as well but this...

As stated by others, the hotel consists of a couple of floors in a building shared by other hotels/businesses. When you arrive, you have to be buzzed into a run down, little bit scary looking entranceway. There's a very very very old-fashioned tiny lift, or you can take the stairs to the 2nd floor where you checkin. But don't be...

Despite what the hotel is named on many websites (i.e., Inn Roman Terrace - Bed and Breakfast) and what appears to be stated in the description, there is no breakfast served. We had a 10-minute "discussion" with staff about this on check-in. This is a small (less than 10 rooms) pensione very close to the Termini rail station in Central...

Lovely, central, inexpensive Hotel located on second floor of building quite near to the terminus (so easy to reach by Metro or coach) - believe third floor has private apartments so not noisy in any way. We stayed during May 2014 and found the staff courteous, charming and helpful - we would definitely use again and would highly recommend. We...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
