Have read some reviews especially of people losing their possessions, which is really sad, but I can only speak as I find. We had a lovely stay here, the room was a little on the small side but was clean and tidy. Reasonable size bathroom with bath and overhead shower. Breakfast was plentiful, cereals, cold meats, cheeses, yogurts, fresh bread...

Take care of your belongings in this hotel! I and several other guests lost laptops, ipads etc from our hotel ROOMS. According to hotel staff thieves broke inte the rooms with a screwdriver. Not very likely!

Good location for transport near Termini Station for trains, busses and metro. Liked the bath tub but WiFi only in lobby became a pain. Too many people trying to fill the available couches to make use of the WiFi the breakfast was typical European and always enough.

Staff were really friendly and helpful, all spoke good English. I asked for and got a quiet room at the rear of the hotel (room 401). It was spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed and well furnished. It had french doors and a small balcony. I thought the size of the room was OK for a city hotel. The bathroom...

Look - if you're looking for a Ritz Carlton at this price, you're misguided. I was slightly disappointed as a foreigner that there was no wifi in the room, and that the "queen bed" was two twins pushed together - but you get what you pay for. The breakfast was good, the staff was friendly, and the location was perfect....

Normally, we would stay at hotel San Marco which is around the corner, but as they had problem with their booking we were moved to Hotel Regio. At reception you will be asked to pay extra 4EUR per person, per night for city tax. The rooms has no facilities and miss basic things as a place to hand your jacket...

Firstly to highlight the good stuff, like location - it is just near main station Termini, and Piazza Repubblica. Also, I can not complain about the cleanliness in rooms, it is satisfactory. But there is no facilities at all, only lobby (fortunately with wifi), and breakfast room. If you expect a bar or any other content here you will not...

The location of the hotel was great and the room was clean. The breakfast was ok. The staff were kind and helpful. It was very easy to go there from Rome F. Airport.I still can not believe how there is no Wi-Fi connection in the rooms. It's a huge minus for the hotel.

This hotel is a good choice for visiting all important places in Rome. The bus stops 20 m from the hotel, and there is a big metro, bus and train station within 5 minutes walk. The room is very small, but clean and equipped with everything you need for a short stay. The breakfast is not good, quality of food...

We have stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and we loved it. The location is great and there is a bus (at the street) and train to all important locations. You can also walk if you want. It is very nicely decorated inside with marble everywhere, super clean and with a nice front desk staff. The breakfast is good...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
