Termini Gold is a nice little B&B, not far from the main train station ('Termini'). As many have noted, Alberto is a friendly, helpful guy and he runs a tight ship - the bedrooms are modern (think Ikea style) and spotless. In fact, it was probably one of the cleanest places I have stayed. The bed was large (180 cm wide,...

Our stay began with a walk from the train station following Alberto's directions he sent via email. It was only a 10 minute walk and we were met by Alberto outside who then informed us we would be staying in his new building 2 mins walk away. Alberto was very helpful letting us know what and what not to do,...

Dear Tony, thanks for all nice thing you wrote on me an on my B&B, you just know which is my consideration for you : “best….etc.etc”. For the love of the truth I have to say that the room where you stayed is small, that’s why, in order to avoid surprises, we sell it as “small double room with French...

For 1st time visitors to Rome we were a little unsure as to an ideal place to stay, but were extremely happy to have chosen Termini Gold. Alberto was a wonderful host & bent over backwards to ensure we had everything sorted for our stay. The room was very well presented & the home made tea cake a delight! Would...

After our reservation Alberto , the owner, was very reactive in answering our mails and he mentionned exactly how we can reach the hostel. B&B Termini Gold is very well situated 10 mn...

I apologise to Alberto for only just getting round to writing this. Me and my partner stayed for 5 nights at this wonderful B&B in September. The only traumatic thing was getting the taxi to there (dropping us off a few streets away!) from the airport. The B&B is located 5 or so minutes walk from a metro station which...

Alberto is very nice and maintains a high standard of cleanliness throughout the b and b. We felt free to wonder in and out as we wished but Alberto could be contacted if needed. For the money it is a bargin and it's location means you are in easy reach of all the major sites quickly. (the Vatican is probably...

We backpacked around Europe and stayed in this B&B for our final three nights in Rome, which was a perfect decision! It was so nice to have basically our own apartment after sharing with strangers for a month. Alberto is really nice, the rooms are modern and funky, nice bathroom, comfy bed, free wifi and laundry, yummy breakfast provided, and...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
