I really appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and security of staying in a convent hotel in a chaotic place like Rome. The hotel is very centrally located and is a fairly easy walk to sites such as the Colosseum, St. Mary Major Basilica, and St. John Lateran Basilica. Most of the nuns do not speak English (it is a French order)...

We recommend a stay here. Very quite and peaceful. The sisters and staff were very friendly and helpful. A few spoke english. The location is with in a short walk to the Colloseum. Many cafes and grocery store in the area.

We had a lovely four night stay. The sisters and the staff were very helpful. We enjoyed the location, about a ten minute walk to the Colliseum. You can reach the Instituto easily via the airport train to the Terminali and then the 16 bus. Our room was simple but wonderfully maintained and comfortable. Breakfast was communal with other visitors,...

We stayed here in June of 2011 and it was lovely. The sisters were friendly and accommodating they even set us up with a fan because it was so hot. I cannot complain. Yes the bathroom was small, but I found a larger one down the hall. The courtyard is the best place for internet and when the sisters sing...

I really don't get the reviews here complaining about how simple the quarters were and how there was no tv in the rooms! It's a CONVENT, not a hotel, and a LOVELY one at that. One just has to be prepared for no phone, no internet, no tv, & a curfew at 10:30pm. Most guests are French-speaking; the Sisters speak...

We got to know about this hidden gem through a friend. The rooms are very spacious, immaculately clean, breakfast adequate, but the best part of it all was the beautiful Italian garden and the lovely view from the room. There are actually quite a few of them within the complex. The nuns speak mostly French and some English. It's surprisingly...

We were looking for more reasonable accommadations in Rome and booked at Convent San Guiseppe Di Cluny Convent. The rooms were good sized, vey clean, included an en suite bathroom and continental breakfast. The Convent facilites and grounds were beautiful and conveniently located near the Collesium and Santa Maria Majore (Church). We found the Sisters to be really helpful despite...

We stayed 4 nights at the San Guiseppe convent in Rome. It was a wonderful place, breakfast was light and simple, but so good. The nuns were so sweet and helpful, though they struggled with English, they did their best to help and it always worked out. It was quiet, spotless clean and the courtyard garden was incredible. Rooms were...

We stayed 3 days in this convent. We had had no idea before of staying in convent, until we tried S. Giuseppe di Cluny. I was afraid of feeling uncomfortable during our holiday is Rome. It turns out I was wrong, it was comfy enough for a 86 euro’s room. It’s clean and neat. The sisters are also nice, though...
