Excellent location in lively Trastevere. Lovely apartment. Very friendly and English-speaking staff. Worth staying there. I highly recommend it. Just what we were looking for in the location that we wanted too. Will happily go back.

Very nice staff on arrival and departure which is always a good thing. Rooms clean and bright and everything was there that we needed. It is in a busy area so it can be noisy and they clean the streets early in the morning but that would not put me off staying here in the future. You are in the...

The location is amazing, it has everything you need, awesome restaurants, bars etc. The sights of rome are walking distance and there are plenty of bus/tram stations in the area as well. The room was clean, modern and comfortable. There is a cleaning lady that comes every day. The host really went out of his way to be helpful and...

Nice apartment that has been rebuilt into six rooms in the second floor in a building central placed I lovely trastevere. Walking distance to everything you need for a perfect stay in Rome. There are only six rooms so book in good time. Prices are reasonable. We were met by a friendly host, Tomasi, which were really helpful and recommended...

This was the first time that we stayed there and we had a fabuloud time. It offers free breakfasts at three different places that you can choose. The staff is wonderful and very easy to work with. There are a few steps with a handrail and an elevator. It is not bad for handicapped people. The staff gives you a...

I am just back from a weeks stay in Rome for a friends birthday. I always stay in chain hotels but decided this time to get a real experience of the city I was visiting. I chose the Hip Suites following a recommendation from a friend. It is located in Trastevere with cafes all around and you are within walking...

What a cute little place. And best area. Walking 20 mins to coliseum 25 mins to Vatican and 5 mins to tram/bus. Plus buzzy area right down on the street plenty of cute little restaurants and pubs. A great place to stay in. Only thing is I paid 120 euros. That's a lot. But. Most of the hotels in Rome...

Very friendly staff, got great advices. Super location (easy to get anywhere in Rome, a lot of nice restaurants and coffe places arround), clean room (got the one with a round bed and starry ceiling - might be good for a budget honeymoon :) Overall - very good value for money, would stay here again.

Very friendly place to stay. Staff were warm, welcoming and informative. The location is fantastic. Room was clean but basic. Shower powerful but small. Their website does not tell you that you have a fridge and kettle in your room and there is a communal coffee machine to use for free. I would definitely stay there again when I return...

Our family stayed in the apartment on the ground floor. Everything was perfect. The rooms were nice, it was clean and affordable. And you are right in the middle of the Trastevere action without beeing bothered by the noise. We even had a little patio. We will definitely stay at Hip Suites again next time we come to Rome.

Thank Peter B

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
