The Hotel is great all around. Service is excellent. Staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is also clean with a modern decor. It has all the amenities of most five star hotels including a gym and a sauna. A short walk from the Termini central station if you're taking the train from the airport. Will definitely return.

Ideal location and facilities for a short (2 days/2 nights) tourist break in Rome. Modern non-fussy facilities, efficient friendly check in and all very comfortable. Our bedroom was compact but with a fair sized bathroom - quite sufficient for a tourist's needs when you're foot sore at the end of the day. Nice touch where a gift box of biscotti...

Great room for a family of three, lots of space, large bathroom, spotlessly clean with a nice modern look. Great location within easy walking distance of Roma Termini station. Delicious and diverse breakfast. Plenty of places to plug in chargers for electronics. Impressive customer focus - seemed like every last detail was thought of, there was essentially nothing we could...

We booked the quadrupole room and added one more single bed. Everything was fantastic: Breakfast, stuff, laundromat, airport shuttle services and great friendly team. Room was very clean and convenient with complimentary water bottles and soda bottles every day plus cookies, coffee and tea. The location of IQ hotel is perfect: 10-20 minutes walking from all of Rome attractions &...

Clean room, slight odor in the bathroom upon arrival (I chalk this up to Rome plumbing/sewers). Welcome prosecco and cookies were a nice touch. What makes the hotel is the rooftop bar/cafe (with patio heaters!). The bartenders are friendly, food is unexpectedly good (and a value) and a nice, peaceful way to end what was always a packed day. They...

We had a very good experience in IQ hotel Roma. Location is great - about 5 to 10mins waking distance to the subway; within 15 mins walking distance to major attractions like Trevi fountain, colosseum, Spanish steps etc. Excellent amenities too! They have vending machines in the hotel for your weird hour hunger pangs. Also a laundry room, especially helpful...

Stayed 4 nights with my wife and daughter - my daughter ran the Rome marathon! What a fantastic place! Superb location and staff are wonderful. The reason it's going to get even better is that they were in the process of installing a jacuzzi on the roof when we were there! Looks like it'll be ready very soon. Cannot recommend highly...

Despite the first disappointing look you get from the unharmonized blue facade of the hotel, there is absolutely nothing there that can upset you! Extremely friendly staff, comfortable rooms and clean facility. We stayed in two different rooms on level two and loved them both. The neighborhood is great for sightseers. 10min walk from Termini station and 2min walk to the...

The staff was friendly and welcoming. Our room was newly renovated, clean and spacious. Nice breakfast buffet upstairs along with a rooftop terrace for drinks until midnight. Close to Roma Termini and subway line A (buy tix for subway at the front desk!). We walked to the Colosseum and stopped along the way for lunch - several good nearby restaurants....

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
