My husband and I stayed at the IQ Hotel in Rome for three days. This is absolutely the perfect basecamp for your time in Rome. It is just two or three blocks from the Termini train station (we walked their with our suitcases with no problem), giving you great access to regional trains and the subway. The area is great...

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The location is great and almost everything is within a walking distance. The hotel have awesome facilities like the gym, sauna, vending machines just in case of forgetting your toothbrush or hungry for a late night snack. It also has a laundry room :). Be sure not to miss the...

Stayed in the iQ for 3 nights in September. Rome was extremely busy, but the iQ was a quiet and very convenient place to retreat to. Very near the main rail station and sightseeing bus stop, and just around the corner from the Opera House. Very good buffet breakfast which could be taken inside in the restaurant, or outdoors on...

Stayed here on my honeymoon and was so impressed! Friendly staff, large room, incredibly clean, great breakfast. The neighborhood is clean, quiet, safe, and so convenient! We loved it here and can't wait to go back! There is a vending machine that sells wine and beer!!! It's cheap too and there is a lovely rooftop terrace where you can enjoy...

Our stay here was fantastic and we would definitely stay again. We were impressed by the modernity of the hotel compared to the other places we stayed around Italy. It used to be a bank so the rooms are compact though comfortable. It's new, clean, and has all the amenities needed for a relaxing vacation. Staff especially Balthazar are friendly...

If you do not care at all about Internet service or the size of your room than this is a good hotel for consideration. Otherwise, you should avoid this hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and well kept. The Internet is beyond horrible (think 1996 dial-up connectivity). As a business person, I made the...

Dear guest, We are sorry to hear that the issue with the internet speed had such a huge impact on your overall experience at the iQ Hotel. We understand that, if you need to be on the internet for business reasons it can be very distressing to find a connection that doesn’t deliver as you expected. As we have had...

After staying and some more dated hotels in our previous two cities in Italy, we had been looking forward to a more modern experience and were not disappointed. My wife and I stayed here for 5 days during our honeymoon in August. It was a wonderful place to stay. It was within a 15 minute walk to almost any major tourist attraction (except the Vatican) and the front desk staff was very useful with directions. Our room was a great size and we even had a little balcony. We didn't know that there was a gym so that was a bonus. Great location, all major tourist attractions in walking distance and only 10 minute walk from main train station. The staff were friendly and professional and eager to help. The hotel was very clean and...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
IQ is a 4-star hotel, with a twist! Located in downtown Rome, just a short 15 minute walk from the Trevi Fountain or the Colosseum and with Repubblica metro station just 200 metres away, hotels don't get much central than this. IQ guests enjoy free Wi-Fi connection throughout the hotel, a lovely terrace where to unwind overlooking the Opera House, and free access to our gym and sauna. We believe in tailor-made hospitality, so there are vending machines in virtually every floor, where you can buy yourself a bottle of wine, a pack of crisps, a tooth-brush or even an umbrella (not that you'll need it often!), All at very competitive prices. Now that you've found us... Welcome to a whole new hotel experience! IQ STAFF ... more   less
