Loved everything about this hotel. Plusses: Breakfast a nice treat, try blood orange juice. Restaurant La Matriciana across street is old world service and good food. Near incredible Santa Maria Maggiore church. Would come back in a heartbeat to eternal city.

I have stayed in five different hotels in Rome and all were far superior to this one. Let me just start with the pros...walking distance from the main train station and clean. Ok that's it. Here come the cons...uncomfortable bed and room temp does not go below 20C. If you like warm rooms you will be ok. Very small room,bathrooms...

Dear guest, Thank you for sharing your views on our property. It pains us to know that the only night you spent with us will be remembered as an uncomfortable one. Especially since we could have eased your discomfort with one of our mat-pads, tailor-made to fit our beds and make them softer, according to the guests’ preference. Our reception...

My husband and I just returned from Rome and we stayed 3 nights at iQ. It was a very pleasant stay, great hotel with a great location - close to 2 metro stations and to sights (a comfortable 15 minutes walk to the Spanish Steps). The room was clean and had a refreshment vending machine located on alternate floors. Good...

Only spent one night here and it was good. Modern rooms, clean, comfortable bed, good lightning and very spacious bathroom. We left very early in the morning to look around the city before leaving for the airport and were allowed to leave our bags in the storage which was good. There's a couple of good restaurants around that are open...

Me and my wife were there, after selecting it via tripadvisor recommendations, and indeed it excelled. This hotel is very comfortably located within walking distance of termini, the historical center and almost any major attraction in Rome. Metro is also very close. The hotel is shiny clean, rooms are comfortable and large, free good wifi. Staff are helpful and recommended...

Now that we are settled in back at home, I had to write to express our thanks for the wonderful stay we had at your hotel. We stayed in rooms 321 & 322 and our party contained 3 generations: grandmother, husband & wife and 14 year-old teenager, a combination that could have been a disaster if we had had to...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

IQ is a 4-star hotel, with a twist! Located in downtown Rome, just a short 15 minute walk from the Trevi Fountain or the Colosseum and with Repubblica metro station just 200 metres away, hotels don't get much central than this. IQ guests enjoy free Wi-Fi connection throughout the hotel, a lovely terrace where to unwind overlooking the Opera House, and free access to our gym and sauna. We believe in tailor-made hospitality, so there are vending machines in virtually every floor, where you can buy yourself a bottle of wine, a pack of crisps, a tooth-brush or even an umbrella (not that you'll need it often!), All at very competitive prices.
