We stayed at this hotel for one week in August 2013 and had a brilliant time. Here are the factors that made this hotel perfect for us: 1) Location The hotel is located only a 5-10 minute walk from Termini train station meaning the transfer with our luggage was easy. It has a metro station ( Republica) within a five...

We stayed at this hotel in November 12, and we totally enjoyed it. The hotel was close to Republicca Metro line, it was only 10 minutes walking distance. The room that we had was clean, and very modern (it was a new hotel from a refurbished old building) So far we have no complains and would totally recommend it to...

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 10 days and had an excellent experience. It is located within walking distance from the Termini and to many touristic sites - we barely used any public transportation for that matter. Our room was small but the bathroom was large and modern, and wifi connection was perfect. Great breakfast at the...

First off friendly helpful staff. Rooms are very well thought out! Empty fridge free to use for your drinks instead of an overpriced mini bar. However if you are peckish vending mahines with everything from chocolate and sandwhiches to toothbrushes and plasters are available. Safe in the room easy and free to use. Large room and bathroom, spacious! Do not...

We were very pleased with the location and cleanliness of the hotel. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Great base for a short break would recommend.Would have been nice if hotel offered hot snacks and coffee during the day without the need of using a vending machine or preparing it yourself.

The reception staff were exceptionally helpful at all times. A great base for seeing Rome. The AC was not that cool at night but Rome in August is hot. Good local restaurants. Close to transport links.

My husband and I were dubious about staying in a 'modern' style hotel in Rome as previously we have stayed in hotels with traditional features but the cleanliness and the unfussyness of this hotel won us over. Our room was immaculate and well presented with a view over the modern courtyard which wasn't much to look at but we didn't...

this was a fantastic place to stay, with the value price and the idea of a it being virtually self service I thought it might be more of a budget hotel but it was lovely! the rooms are large and clean with great bathrooms, the communal areas are all spotless with great ideas like smoking areas and laundrys and vending...

A decent location, about 10 mins walk from Termini train station and about 20mins stroll to the Colosseum area. Also a few minutes walk from Repubblica metro station. A nice surprise of a rooftop area to sit and enjoy a drink. Vending machines for wine, beer and soft drinks on the top floor along with other vending machines on other...

BASICALLY... A great hotel for us who wanted a safe and reliable hotel, in a good location for all of our sightseeing needs. ROOM TYPE Double Room ROOM -our room was simple, clean and comfortable -the design of the room was good; it created maximum use of a small room -the bathroom was spacious considering the small size -the walls...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

IQ is a 4-star hotel, with a twist! Located in downtown Rome, just a short 15 minute walk from the Trevi Fountain or the Colosseum and with Repubblica metro station just 200 metres away, hotels don't get much central than this. IQ guests enjoy free Wi-Fi connection throughout the hotel, a lovely terrace where to unwind overlooking the Opera House, and free access to our gym and sauna. We believe in tailor-made hospitality, so there are vending machines in virtually every floor, where you can buy yourself a bottle of wine, a pack of crisps, a tooth-brush or even an umbrella (not that you'll need it often!), All at very competitive prices.
