We stayed here twice, at the beginning and end of our trip to Italy. It was fantastic - clean, comfortable, in a great part of the city. But the best thing about the place was the host, Giorgio, who was helpful and friendly, just a perfect B&B owner. He had good ideas of things to do, where to eat, etc....

We booked this B&B and we were not disappointed, Giorgio welcomed us, helped us to carry our luggage. He was very good at recommending places to go and restaurants. We were very happy, the accommodation was just what we needed. The breakfast at the bar next door was brilliant typically Italian cappuccino and a cornetto (croissant). We recommend it highly,...

The hotel was in a quiet part of Trastevere, close to a lot of great, cheap restaurants! The host Giorgio was very accomodating and gave great advice as to restaurants, bars, and tourist attractions. The room itself was clean, spacious, and had good air conditioning. The only drawback was my boyfriend found the mattress too hard, but I didn't have...

My partner and I stayed here for 5 nights during our stay in Italy. Giorgio is a lovely guy who we found very helpful and accommodating. The location was perfect, right in the heart of Trastevere where all of the amazing food can be found! It is also a pleasant 15-20 minute walk to the centre of Rome (trevi/pantheon) as...

This B&B is as good as the reviews here say it is! It is not posh, but it has everything you need. You can walk from here to almost any place in Rome. The B&B is in a quiet street, near a square where there is a market and restaurants. The busy Trastevere neighborhood is a few minutes away. Giorgio...

The Neighborhood is a great base for a Roman vacation. The omnipresent graffiti is a little off putting, but one gets used to it. For some reason I pictured Giorgio as a dark, mustached, Luigi in Donkey Kong, type guy. He was young, and blond, my wife thought he looked like Macklamore. He could not have been nicer, his English...

Having stayed at Trasteverina B&B about 4 times, I must say that each time I was impressed with the comfort and cleanliness of the accommodations, and innkeeper Giorgio goes above and beyond to make his guests feel welcome and to provide helpful information about anything a visitor to Rome would need to know, whether it is their first time in...

Great neighborhood in a non-touristy part of town. Because of the building and area of town that Roma Trasteverina B&B is in, it makes you feel like you really fit in. Me and my boyfriend kept saying how we felt like locals coming in and out of "our" apartment in Rome. We got a kick out of it! :) This...

We have stayed with Giorgio in the past (see our previous review) and always said that when we came back to Rome we would not stay anywhere else. I am pleased to say we we were not disappointed. The rooms are as spotlessly clean and bright as ever and Giorgio is the perfect host. He leaves you to enjoy your...

My room was basic, but what else do you need in Rome... you spend all the time outside anyway. The location is perfect, in a lively neighbourhood, packed with cafes and restaurants, walking distance from nearly everything that you would like to do in Rome. As far as the owner is concerned he was really helpful but a bit too...

Dear Aleksandr, Thank You for sharing your experience on Tripadvisor. I’m sorry to read in your review about your personal point of view of My behavior, I found the inaccurate statements misleading and contradictory, I have always worked in all these years with full professionalism with people coming from all over the world, including a lot of solo female travellers,...

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
