We've been to Rome a number of times and have stayed in the Trastevere area on several occasions. This B&B was one of our better experiences. The location is excellent: it's a short walk from the #8 tram. (We found the Mastai stop more convenient than the one suggested by the B&B.) The B&B is on the 1st Floor (ground...

Great b&b, simple but clean and in a great location. The owner, Giorgio, was super helpful and accommodating and made the experience, with his great recommendations and insight into the area. Definitely would return next time I'm in Rome.

The room was very clean, en-suite, flat screen TV, aircon, and Georgio the owner was so helpful, nothing was too much trouble, gave us a map with lots of restaurants marked and where the nearest cash points were. The location was superb, short walk to the river, tram and so many wonderful bars and restaurants. All the major attractions were...

This was my first trip to Rome and was unsure what area to stay in. (Turns out we made a good choice) Honestly we had our doubts about the place until we met Giorgio. He made our stay in Rome so much more comfortable with his warm, non intrusive and friendly attitude. His suggestions of places to see and dining...

As we were booking late in the game, I was eager to find a place in Trastevere! The location was superb, right next to a plaza that had gluten free restaurants (I have celiacs) and near transport and bridges going across the river. It was a short skip to the Jewish ghetto and the Pantheon. Giorgio was a nice host...

Giorgio is a super guy. Helps you out with anything you are looking for - stores, buses, itineraries etc. Went solo - the rooms are clean and cosy. Near by restaurants, every morning vegetable and fruit market just around the corner. There is also just at the corner a restaurant called Corsini who serves excellent fish foods, meat, pasta -...

We stayed here for three nights at the beginning of our trip around Italy. Giorgio was very friendly and accommodating and had many suggestions for places to go and eat around Trastevere, which is a great foodie neighborhood. We had vouchers for breakfast at a cafe nearby, which were for the standard Italian breakfast of coffee and a croissant. The...

Very basic accommodation , clean , and fine for a one night stay.we would have preffered to have found our own place for breakfast as we had a very mediocre coffee and croissant served in a cafe across the street. Good location wih plenty of good restaurants within a few minutes walking distance. The hotel offers taxi service from the...

The room is basic but comfortable and the location is great. Giorgio is very helpful and friendly. Really we had everything we needed. It is not really a hotel, more of an air bnb arrangement, but suited our needs and for a reasonable price. And Giorgio held some luggage for me between excursions which was most helpful. Definitely would recommend.

Thank Elisabeth G

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
