Hotel Villa Duse met all expectations created by their own website. We were in touch with the hotel staff for a couple of months before visiting Rome and received attentive and friendly advice. The boutique-style hotel is simple but elegant, very clean, and quiet. The neighborhood was safe and convenient to the center of Rome by either long walks, bus,...

We stayed here for 3 days in April 2012. We found the staff very friendly and very helpful too, they really do go the extra mile. The room was lovely. The hotel is away from they 'city' but not far out. Its still along the bus route and a little walk away from the trams.

My husband and I stayed here in July and absolutely loved it! After a long day of traveling we were greeted by a very helpful staff member at the desk (I wish I had paid more attention and gotten her name to better recognize her). As soon as we checked in she showed us all of the buses and trams...

Stayed at the Villa Duse two weeks ago (June 25-29). Solid hotel. Beautifully appointed, clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff and excellent food. A little out of the way from the hustle and bustle of downtown - but well worth the extra travel. Would stay here again and recommend to family and friends.

We stayed here with 2 other couples - Clean bedrooms and bathrooms, comfortable beds, very classy furnishings, extremely friendly, caring, and helpful staff. All did their jobs well. We paid for an upgraded room, which was not much different than the standard rooms in which our friends stayed. The hotel has a nice breakfast spread and offers wine with light...

For our first wedding anniversary we decided to splurge a bit and book a week's worth of Roman sights and delights in a class hotel. As my wife and I love the hustle and bustle of the city, we like the ability to wind down in the evening in a calm place even better. Villa Duse hit the spot. We...

This hotel is just as charming and pleasant as other reviewers described it! We enjoyed the north Rome location. Our room was absolutely clean, comfortable and quiet. The "prestige executive room" was nicely sized--no complaints from my husband about European hotel rooms this time. Room 11 had lovely wood floors, and traditional furniture, so that you felt like you were...

My fiance and I travelled to Italy in May 2012, as soon as I saw the advertisement for the Villa Duse I absolutely loved it, it looked really nice, peaceful and it wasnt too far away. Once we had booked we were greeted with a very nice email offering a transfer service or the advice of which public transport links...

Staying in Parioli

Neighbourhood Profile
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavour of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
