We booked an upgraded room, which was good. The wifi in the room was non existent and had to pay £3euros for 30 minutes, it was awful and very very slow. Breakfast was average. Very central location, which made up for the few short comings. Very friendly staff but I would recommend that they deal with customers in order rather...

Modern, close as possible to Terminii Station so very central, an easy place to get back to and great location if you desire the convenience of being close to a great transport hub (as we do). The station and hotel environs are not pretty (don't know any countries that are though in capital cities and it's not something the hotel...

This is a beautifully clean hotel near the central rail station (easy to walk). That being said, most of the main tourist sites in Rome are a good distance away--best to use the metro or bring comfortable shoes! We enjoyed the hotel breakfast each morning and dined at several restaurants in the blocks surrounding the hotel (all very good). I...

The Una Hotel is just a few minutes walk from Termini Station. It's sleek and contemporary and the rooms are stylish, with really comfortable beds. The bathrooms are beautifully tiled and the shower is excellent - a good range of nice toiletries too. The towels are changed everyday. Service at this hotel can't be faulted - everyone was friendly and...

The hotel was in an ideal location, very close to the central railway station. Parking was conveniently available and the staff were very helpful with cases and luggage. The room was adequate, the bathroom (shower) was awesome, the breakfast was very average. A little bit concerned by the security situation; lots of staff in the lobby and clearly they were...

Booked this through hotels.com for a four night stay in Rome with family (2 teenage daughters). The hotel is located very close to Termini which makes for a slightly scary walk in the evening if you arrive into the station - not threatening but enough to make you slightly uncomfortable. The hotel is welcoming and reception staff friendly (with one...

My experience at the Una Hotel was great! I was in Rome for a business/vacation trip and stayed in 3 hotels over the course of my 11 day trip. This was the final one and what a treat it was! This hotel is in a very good location, with the Termini located very close by. The room was clean and...

Stayed here over the Easter weekend for what was our first trip to Rome. We were offered a paid upgrade which we took as it included WiFi otherwise we would have had to pay a silly amount per day just for access. You would think in this day and age WiFi would be standard in city based hotels! Included in...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
