At just 5 minutes walk from the train station and about 20 minutes from the colosseum, this small family run hotel is great value for money. It's clean, neat, and for a very good price. Restaurants nearby. We had a great stay!

It's lovely small apartment located close to Termini station, restaurants and cafes. We walked to colosseum, spanish walk and almost everywhere. Anyway walking is the best way to experience ROME. We took the train to Vatican though. The bathroom was clean and was just perfect for me and my friend. The elevator was interesting...a narrow and tiny elevator that me... More

The rooms were basic, but had everything that was needed - except hot water! We had to complain every day about the lack of hot water, but nothing was done. It was a shame, because other than this, the hotel was perfect for our long weekend to Rome. Located close to the main railway station, and within easy reach of... More

When you arrive do not expect to enter in the hall of a hotel; Bye Rome consists in some small flats located at different floors of a late XIX century apartment block halfway between the main train station (Termini) and the ancient basilica Santa Maria Maggiore. My room opened on a hallway serving only three rooms, a solution that minimizes... More

The hotel is two blocks from the Roma Termini St. It's really convenient. However, the front desk is not in the hotel. It´s close but it's not open always. The hotel is confortable, there are many restaurants and many stores in the area. As every hotel, you have to pay for the city taxes in cash and you have to... More

The place is close termini but looks cheap. Compare the price they charge is pretty high with the type of the room they provided. You can definitely find better place than this one. people are not nice and be-careful for their cancellation policy. I will never choose this place again.

Yes, this place is cheap. But if you pay nothing you get nothing. My boyfriend and I booked this place based on the good reviews and cheap prices. A mistake we will NOT make again. We did a tour of Italy and this was our last stay. Complete let down. Shared bathroom (gross) where the shower head was tied to... More

This hotel was a very pleasant surprise, since we stayed at a hotel located in the same building, but this is a completely different higher class of hotel. The owner does not speak English so be prepared to be culturally respectful, the place is clean and very safe, the room and the bathroom were large. Definitely a great place when... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
