I would throughly recommend a stay in Torre Colonna- although it may not be to your taste if you like the large chain style hotels. Each floor has only one room and there are five rooms in total. It is close to everything. Five minutes walk from the Trevi fountain in one direction; five minutes walk to the Colosseum in... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Torre Colonna. The proprietor, Sarah, could not have been more helpful. Nicely decorated and the breakfasts were lovely (especially the freshly squeezed orange juice). Fantastic location. I've given it four stars, as it is a small hotel and lacks some facilities that you might find in a larger 'chain' hotel at this price.... More

This boutique hotel was newly renovated so everything was clean, stylish and in perfect condition. This was in perfect contract to the exterior of the building which was a watch tower built in 1247! We could not have asked for a more appropriate accomodation for our first visit to this historic city. My husband and I stayed here to celebrate... More

This is the 2nd B&B we've stayed at in Rome but honestly not my favorite. I picked this B&B because it's VERY close to ancient Rome (10 mins walk to colosseum, ancient forum etc... literally next block to Trajan's form and imperial forum. The decor was artsy and true to pictures on Tripadvisor. Bathroom is clean and big, I liked... More

We stayed here in April for 3 nights - it was perfect in everyway. The welcome from the owners are lovely (espically the beautiful blond lady!!) and its a small property so you are well looked after, they are fantastic at giving advice on where to go and good restaurants, our bedroom was very comfortable and delightfuly furnished, the ceiling... We wanted a unique and central place to stay in Rome while celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. We found it at Residenza Torre Colonna. Our room had character as well as all of the modern conveniences. The breakfast was amazing with everything from yogurt to home-made wild-boar sausage. Our hosts were helpful and friendly. And we could walk ten minutes... More

The Residenza Torre Colonna is indeed a charming and lovely place. However, I must admit I was very disappointed and upset at first. I was meeting with my boyfriend in (my native) Rome after a 2 months separation and I was keen to take him somewhere really special for a super romantic weekend. After a long long search on line,... My family and I stayed here for three nights after arriving from the states. We met Sarah the owner on arrival and she could not have been more gracious. Sadly that was the last we saw of her during our stay. We had a two bedroom unit (IV) which while not huge, was spacious enough for us with plenty of... More

My husband and I just returned from 3 nights in the "yellow" room at Torre Colonna. The room for Rome was a very nice size (although the smallest of our 3 hotels in Italy). The bathroom was spacious and the sunken tub eased my sore legs / feet from all the walking we did. The room was well maintained and... More

My 17 year old son and I stayed here during our vacation over March Break. Everything was incredible - the breakfast, the rooms, the location was perfect, and the service from Sarah and everyone we encountered was gracious and impeccable. We could not have asked for a more wonderful experience right in the heart of ancient Rome.

Staying in Trevi

Neighbourhood Profile
Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighbourhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
