What a unique place! It boasts only 5 rooms (one per floor) and is in a 13th century medieval tower. The location is amazing - right by the Imperial Forums and centered between Ancient Rome and the historic center. We found it very walkable to all of Rome (including the Vatican and the Borghese Gardens). It's also right down the...

I hesitate to tell about this little gem ... only because I want to be able to return soon! Centrally placed, nicely appointed, roof garden has views over the city. Great breakfast and excellent service with friendly staff. The 1 room per floor layout is fine, but the metal stairs are noisey. This is NOT an hotel for children as...

My wife and I stayed here as part of our honeymoon trip through Italy. We definitely have high praise for our stay at Torre Colonna. First of all, how cool is it to stay in a building with such obvious age and history that still comes with modern accoutraments like internet, rooftop jacuzzi, and an amazing shower fixture? Second, the...

It was even better than I could have imagined. I second everything everyone's said. I ended up traveling alone (due to a last minute issue with hubby's business) but the staff at the hotel really made me feel welcome, Alvin in particular would go out of his way to check in with me when I returned in the evenings, and...

Agree entirely with the preceding 10 reviews, all rating Torre Colonna "outstanding." This sort of recognition is the result of the consistent quality and performance at the Torre. We have just returned from 17 days in Rome, Siena, and Florence. We stayed at Torre Colonna the first 5 nights, then back for our final night in Italy before catching the...

Close to perfection without being generically oppulent. There was no doubt you were in Rome. The rooms, the building, the roof garden, all with character.

We enjoyed out time at Torre Colonna tremendously. The staff was so helpful and made us feel at home. The view from the top of the hotel was amazing and the jacuzzi hit the spot after those long walks around the city. We would come back again for sure.

Staying in Trevi

Neighbourhood Profile
Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighbourhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
