We reserved a wonderful table outside. This family run restaurant is in the heart of Trastevere, a very busy area full of restaurants. The patio is a quiet respite from the tourist traffic. Anthony Bourdain is right you must have the Cacio e Pepe it served its its own bowl. It is so yummy and rich. Make a reservation and enjoy... More

The best "Cacio e pepe" ever tasted! Not hard to reach in Lungo Trastevere! Plenty of places but better to call first and make a reservation! Also "vino dalla casa" is worth trying with some appetisers!

I recommend the Cacio e pepe (traditional cheese and pepper pasta dish) as seen in Anthony Bourdain's tv show. He said it was the best he ever had! And it was worth the trip. Make sure to make a reservation beforehand and walk around the neighborhood after dinner.

I know everyone wants to go here because of Anthony Bourdain and the No Reservations episode filmed here, and usually I would roll my eyes and say, "but how good could it really be?" Well it really is that good. Period. I must qualify this statement by saying we only got the Cacio e Pepe, so we cannot comment on... More

Came for the cacio e pepe, delighted by it and everything else. Going again...for the cacio e pepe, and everything else. Excellent service, lovely setting beside one of the prettiest churches. Highly recommend.

Our concierge recommended this place for some true roman food and I am glad she did. The pastas were absolutely delicious and at a fair price for the locations. Beautiful area in Rome. The only problem I had was that the tables were too close to each other, but that seems the norm in town. Service was better than in... More

We arrived here quite late at night and the place was packed full of people (most of them were locals) but the waiter said it was no problem and made us up a table in minutes! We came here for one reason...the pasta! This restaurant is known for their amazing pasta dish which is counted as a starter. Their is... More

Never had service like it. Visited on recommendation from The Guardian newspaper. Whole restaurant empty. Walked in the restaurant the same time as another couple to be seated practically on top of each other. We asked to be moved to another table to the reply of 1 of the 6 waiters NO! Inside or this table? That was enough for... More

The food here is absolutely amazing. It was recommended as one of the top 10 eateries by The Guardian and we were so glad we went there. I had the cacio e pepe pasta and is was heaven to my taste buds. It is also in a very nice area in the Trestevere. I will dream of this meal on... More

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
