I have stayed at many religious guest houses over the years. I loved my stay at Casa Maria Immacola! The room was comfortable, good size bathroom and shower, all very clean, with a strong A/C and Wi-fi signal. The chapel is beautiful. Great location, a couple of blocks from Lepanto Metro. A block from San Gioacchino Church, with 2 morning...

We like to mix up our accommodation to even out our travel costs and on this trip we stayed in 2 monasteries, 2 moderately priced hotels, 2 small boutique hotels and 1 expensive. So this is VERY affordable accommodation in Rome and in a great location within walking distance of the Vatican and most sites, and close to the metro...

This convent is very well situated for the Vatican, local cafes and restaurants. The room and all the convent was incredibly clean. However, although knowing before arrival that no English is spoken there I did not expect quite the level of non understanding they had. I came to the conclusion they didn't like me and my female cousin and only...

Our group was well looked after by the Nuns and the staff that run the establishment. Food was plentiful and there was good variety save for the breakfasts that tended to be very basic. The rooms were clean with a nice en-suite toilet and shower. Casa Maria Immacolata represents value for money.

The staff and nuns are extremely helpful and so caring. My Italian was spotty but they were patient and we managed. My room was very clean and the facility was quiet and night. Daily service was offered and my room was always cleaned with fresh towels. My only complaint is the pillows are less than desirable. I wanted to press...

We stayed for 3 nights and the place was perfect for us. They added a bed so we all three could be in the same room. The place was simple yet we had all that we needed. Great hot showers, truly immaculately clean. The sisters did not speak English and we spoke no Italian but we were able to communicate...

Enjoyed my stay here - the sisters and staff are friendly, pretty cappella, sunny rooftop terrace and interior courtyard, breakfast of fresh coffee/yogurt/crusty bread and butter/cheese, good location near Vatican and shopping/restaurants/metro - loved the evening breeze and views from rooftop terrace!

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
