We are a muslim couple stayed for 4 nights and very satisfied with our stay. Hotel location was perfect for our pre planned activities such as hop on hop off bus tour, Naples/Pompeii tour, walking distance/subway to Colosseum & few other attractions, halal muslim restaurant & our next destination (Florence) by train. For 50 plus euro a night it was...

Hello, I have travelled to Rome for a tourist visit of five days together with my cousin, so we reserved a double-bed room at Roma Da Noi. First of all, it is not a Hotel as usual. It's a housing estate unit with many flats which were turned into Hotel rooms. So this housing estate consists of several "hotels" which...

Aircon and water heater is available. the rate is cheap considering its inclusive of breakfast. but the best part of this hotel is ms. Josie!...

The 3 of us booked our apartment for a 3 day stay in Rome this past October. It is located in an area that looks a little seedy on first glance. After a stroll to and from Termini Station (5 mins) one finds it's really a friendly and safe place to stay, very convenient to the station and many places...

This B&B is an excellent choice for stay in Rome Central area. It's very clean, roomy and cozy. Few minutes from Termini station and 20 minutes walk to the most of the Rome's landmarks. Choosing Termini in your vicinity during the stay you'd be able to quick access all sites in the city and even Italy because all train and...

I was there in October 2013 with my sister for a 2 week holiday. It was the perfect place for travelling on a budget. The location was really good, close to Termini station and to be honest we were able to walk to most of the attractions during the day, apart from Vatican city which was a bit too far....

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

“all of the rooms in general are great. We've been accommodated in one looking at the back yard which doesn't have some view, but for me it was enough light during the day and not to much congested with nearby buildings.”

“Our room faced the inner courtyard-not much to look at, but no noise from the street. You could also smell baking in the morning! NIce :)”

“The apartment has one twin room overlooking an internal space within the block and a double overlooking the street. There is not much of a sitting area - just a couple of chairs in the hall and more in the kitchen, but the bedrooms are big and comfortable.”
