Marco, the proprietor, made us welcome from the moment we arrived. His humour and advice were brilliant. The room was spacious and well-appointed, with amazing murals - we stayed in the Colosseo Room. The room had all that we needed - a comfortable large bed, aircon, and a large bathroom with spa-bath. While close to the centre of Rome (seven...

We recently stayed at the B&B Suites Trastevere in early September, 2009. We stayed in the Pantheon room. It was excellent! The room is a great size, the bathroom is clean (attached), and the Air conditioner cooled the room down extremely quickly (it was 80+ degrees F when we were there). The bed was extremely comfortable as well and the...

The first 4 nights of our trip through Italy were just amazing! The rooms are beautifully decorated with private updated baths. Charming shutters and very comfortable beds! Buses and trolley's run on the street and everything else is easily accessible if you are willing to walk. Marco was always available to answer questions (even online prior to our arrival), provided...

We had a great visit to Suites Trastevere at the end of June. Marco is fantastic, welcoming, very helpful. Breakfast was friendly and delightful with endless cappucinos. The room was a good size with nice windows and new bathroom, very clean and fresh. The location is just a bit south of the main Trastevere action as well as the historical...

Staying in Monteverde

Neighbourhood Profile
Above the city on the Janiculum hill, Monteverde is Rome’s popular "getaway" neighbourhood, coveted for its greenery. Rome's largest urban park, Villa Pamphili, is the area's centrepiece with affordable prices and peace and quiet. Monteverde is just far enough away from the centre to feel like you’re on a Roman holiday and close enough to feel the lure of Rome's chaos. Though its downside is the lack of scheduled public transport, this family-oriented area is literally a well-deserved walk in the park.
