If you want something extraordinary this boutique guest house is as good as it gets. If it had a bar, a restaurant and reception it would command 5stars+. Due to availability I couldn't stay here for all of the nights I was in Rome and booked into Sofitel Villa Borghese for my remaining nights and found Moses Fountain far more...

I have only the kindest words to say about my recent stay at this small gem of a hotel in Rome. I used the rating system in Tripadvisor to locate a hotel for a one night's stay in Rome while on business. Upon arrival i was greeted by the charming Andrea, one of the owners, who welcomed me and gave...

Firstly I would like to say that the room we had was really nicely decorated, very fashionable and modern and well thought out. (nice little touches like a nightlight in the lower walkway from the bed to bathroom). It was a very comfortable room, the bed was very comfy and I felt quite at home there. The bathroom was luxurious...

Wonderful hotel tucked away behind such a beautiful fountain right in the middle of Rome - couldn't really ask for more! We really felt like we were staying in a secret hotel as it's hidden away to the point we actually struggled to find the front door. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the rooms stylishly decorated and bathroom...

Perfect location near historic sights, the hotel lies behind the Moses Fountain. Emanuela and Andrea are unbelievably hospitable and nice, my family were welcomed warmly. The rooms are beautiful and bathrooms are luxurious; there was very little sound from the street. The bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was included and appreciated, plus high speed wi fi. Staying at the Moses...

This hotel is great; cleaner, nicer, more modern, and unique than any other I have stayed at in Europe for the money. Although it's not cheap, but nothing good in Rome is. We did have some minor complaints about one of the staff, I will get to that in a bit, and I don't think we were the only ones....

We stayed at Moses Fountain Hotel the first few days of our recent trip to Italy. This was our first trip to Italy so I was a bit concerned about booking a room via email at a small, unknown hotel. However, the staff provided excellent communication from the time I made the reservation until the time we arrived. They are...

We stayed at the Moses Fountain during the last part of our honeymoon, and it couldn't have been more perfect. The room was luxurious and completely original. The view out our balcony was beautiful, and I think I have convinced my new husband that we need a sunken bathtub in our house! What really made this place magical was the...

Having discovered this gem (you enter through a door in a blank wall) after several trips to Rome, I would stay nowhere else. It's actually a B&B, which suits us perfectly. The friendly, informative, personalised welcome by the lovely owner Manuela is almost overwhelming. She even gave us her own PC to use for the Internet. The rooms and breakfast...

Moses Fountain Hotel has all the makings to be first rate. We loved the stye, our room, decor, location, linens, toiletries, terrace, plantings. This should and could have been the perfect hotel for us. However, there were problems which soured our experience. We arrived after a long train trip having to quickly drop off our belongings, freshen up and leave...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
