This hotel was in my favorite neighborhood in Rome, Trastevere. I love the restaurants and shops in this neighborhood, as it feels less touristy and more like a local, Italian area. That doesn't mean that all of your sightseeing is not easily accessible. We were able to walk wherever we wanted. Very safe, very beautiful! The hotel itself was comfortable....

Just what we needed for a quick 2 night stay, clean, close to all tourist spots and didn't cost as much as every where else in Rome.Great restaurants in all the little side streets From accommodation ( just go walking) we arrived by train from Naples & caught a bus to Sonnino Suite ( no breakfast?) which was a bit...

Based on previous trip advisor reviews we booked the Sonnino suites for our three days in Rome. Rooms are spotless and generously sized. Once you work out how to enter the building and that the suites are on the 4th floor it's a charming stay. Views are excellent and make sure you go to the roof to take in the...

The rooms were clean and fairly large. Each room had a private bathroom and hardwood floors, a safe in each room, and an air conditioner but could only be set to go to a specific temperature that was not cool enough for us. It is a great location, near an ATM, great restaurants, and close to a taxi station. We...

This is a gem of a little hotel, right on Trastevere, with a friendly staff who would gladly guide you, neat, comfortable and with a bathroom with, wonder of wonders, a bidet. It does not have a restaurant, but then, with a thousand eating options just outside, you really don't miss it. Just remember, there is a cut-off time for checking...

If you enjoy your trip through Trastevere, you are just in the middle. Old furnished, but clean. Staff is very warm and helpful, gives you all related information about the location, share time with you. Baby bed was available as well. Wifi, works.

This is a great little hotel. I wouldn't call it a suite. The rooms are clean and nice. The beds are large and comfortable. Private baths are in every room. The staff was very helpful, giving us advice, directions, etc. All hotel staff spoke English. They arrange an airport shuttle (50 euro for four). I wish we had known coming...

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
