My husband and I have visited Rome many times and we thought that the Blue Hostel was the best place we have stayed at in the city. The rooms are lovely and very clean.

We stayed at the Blue Hostel for 2 nights and we wished we had more time to stay a few more.
We booked a double room and got an upgrade to the amazing apartment, such a nice surprise!

Blue Hostel lived up to its reviews. Great staff, really helpful with some wonderful recommendations. Room was clean and lovely. Coffee machine was an added bonus. No English tv channels though - not that we needed them. Great value for money.
Great location, comfortable rooms, good price, helpful staff. Andrea managed transfer from and to airport for a good price. Also He gave us a map of the center of Rome with very useful marks of restaurants, shops etc.
This little boutique hostel/hotel offers a charming spot in the middle of Rome. We stayed for 5 days and had a wonderful time. The owner has had the rooms thoughtfully refurbished with a vintage-touch, although the shower lack a mobile shower head :D

Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up
basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
