The hotel in itself is a beautiful well preserved building conveniently located at a walking distance from many places. The architecture inside is beautiful. We booked a triple room for two nights at the end of January 2017. And believe me, you should NEVER EVER reserve a triple room in this hotel. The first night (Friday) we were kept awake...

Dear Guest, I'm Elena Prandelli. Thank you for writing your comment. It is an oppurtunity for us to grow up. I'm sorry you lived the "Trastevere nightlife experience". Please, consider that the hotel can not be resposable for the nightlife outside the hotel. You know our hotel is located in one of the famous district in Rome for the nightlife...

What a hotel. History pores from every book and cranny, and the wonderful trastavere right in your doorstep. Warm and welcoming staff, a top top hotel with its own church and a sense of grandeur that never overwhelms.

We booked a suite at this lovely hotel, situated at the foot of the Gianicolo, and minutes from Trastevere. Location is terrific, as well as interesting interior. Our room was spacious, however the decor in the second sitting room left much to be desired. First suggestion: Get rid of the sad purple (cardinal purple!) divan/love seat and put in a...

Lovely hotel in a remodeled monastery. A refreshing break from the chain hotels. The breakfast was worth 5-stars each morning. With Vegan & gluten free options. The staff was gracious & friendly & fluent in English. Monica, the breakfast hostess, brightened each morning with her friendly disposition! The hotel does not provide airport transfers so that was misleading from the...

Beautiful building and rooms, with great amenities. The room includes a mobile phone you can carry with you so you can access the net and make calls. However the room was a little dusty. Breakfast was average. Location is great. 30 minute walk to popular landmarks.

This converted convent was stunning with it's courtyards and beautiful chapel. The rooms were lovely and very very clean. All of the staff were so welcoming and really couldn't do enough for us. We found the location just right. Lovely cobbled streets with lots of eating and drinking places and music bars if you wanted some live music. The main...

We booked the biggest suite for 2 nights. Before arriving they told us that there were a disrruption in the booking system and that the room was only available for 1 night. So we agreed to use a smaller room but didn't want to move during our stay. At check out, we have been told that as it was our...

This hotel is great! The staff are brilliant, really helpful and for those visiting from elsewhere they all speak great English. Of special note, there is a barman there who is awesome. Including mixing his own signature cocktails and for New Year making a prosecco cream, it was really special! The hotel is always really clean and our room was...

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
