We have stayed here multiple times, and recently spent the first 5 nights of our honeymoon here. The hotel is perfectly located between "old" and "new" Gaeta, and directly across from the Navy pier. Serapo beach is a 10 minute walk. Highly recommend a room with a walk out balcony (third floor). The view is incredible. Everyone here is helpful (and speak enough English to communicate well), the rooms are clean, and the price is reasonable.
for us… OK, let me clarify, in reality is a nice hotel, great located facing gulf (there is the US Navy co-administrated with local), easy to move around and with own carpark available for guests. Mid size hotel with ancient pieces in public areas, very clean, nice breakfast areas (indoors and terrace), breakfast choices are quite good (salty and sweet). Gym with gulf views is available if want to do some workout. There was a shuttle service to Serapo beach, really good. We had a nice room, was spacious for all of us, there was a kitchenette (which we didn’t use) the bathroom we found it a bit small but anyhow it was fine. The huge terrace was great to enjoy and to relax in the late night. As per my title, it could be more inviting for us to extend our stay if is not because of the rates; it was a way too much (was expecting a private jacuzzi or butler in the room, just sayin’!) for what we got (nice was the terrace but lots of space which could have a better use) or we just drop in in the wrong days...…
I have to say that the staff are super friendly. The hotel is rated a 3 star and for me that’s all it was nothing more. Pros — the staff. Great location. Nice view. Pet friendly Towels were good Cons — room was super hot all weekend (no fan available). They did drop the temp 2• for us which helped a little. There was mold on the ceiling of the shower. The wall was dirty. For me, it was definitely not worth the price (€200+/night). We really had high hopes, but it fell a little far for us. The parking was free so that was a huge plus and took some of the sting out of the price for sure.
Have travelled to lots of places in Italy and this Hotel was fantastic - we were given a perfect room for a perfect location. On the tail end of our journey and this was a real treat to come across - good breakfast, close to restaurants and a 10 minute walk to the beach - staff were lovely, always pleasant and helpful. Would highly recommend.
I was in the hotel with my friend in the end of September. I wrote in the request that I would like to have double beds not single one. We got really small room with one bad... Despite there were not many guests in the hotel w got the room on the last floor, and elevator didn’t work...In front of the hotel there is a military boat that unable us to sleep with open windows, because it was so loudly :(( and the view is not like on the picture. :( the breakfast like 3 stars hotel was quite simple without any vegetables and only toast bread... I wouldn’t stay here the second time, the rooms need renovations... also hotel didn’t recommend us anything to do...
Nice hotel, clean, wellkept and nice all over, almost 4 stars. We had room number 32, with extra space and private terrace. We do not give top rating (5) as our terrace lacked parasol and plants. Very good breakfast and very friendly staff. Fantastic panoramic terrace on the 3rd floor with sea views, well furnished and covered, nice place to relax. A good hotel choice in Gaeta nearby the two old parts of town and the beach. Bus stop right outside the door. MUST SEE: street call "Dell'indipendenza"
My husband and I stayed at this beautiful hotel. We had a gorgeous view of the water from our room, delicious breakfast daily offering a variety of foods, and delicious coffee in the morning. We were able to walk to many locations in town and to Serapo beach. The hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating. We would certainly stay here again!
We chose this hotel based on the wonderful reviews. We arrived and were not entirely sure how to navigate. It is across the street from a US Military ship, however, the water views were lovely. We were awoken by the US National Anthem ( not sure if this is regular or just happened that morning) Serapo beach was a bit of a walk away in the opposite direction of the lovely old town. Without a car it is the best location as it is about a 10 minute walk to both areas. We opted for the larger room with the balcony view. It was very lovely and I would recommend it. There was a small kitchenette in the room which was surprising, and lovely for a longer stay! Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fine. I would probably choose to stay here again if I came to Gaeta since I would not have a car.…
Very nice hotel and friendly staff. We stayed here for 3 nights and the nearby Serapo beach was lovely. There were many restaurants nearby as well as the town centre being a 10-minute walk away. The rooms are pretty basic but is what is expected of a 3star. I found the bedding had some minor marks which is probably the only downside of this hotel for me. The breakfast is very nice and simple and the kitchen staff are lovely! Would recommend this hotel if staying in Gaeta as all hotels seemed very similar, and it’s a very peaceful location.
Brilliant hotel with very friendly staff. Rooms are not the largest but not the smallest either. Breakfast not the best but adequate. But the staff are a delight, the position between the old town and the larger main town perfect. Even if it was right outside the Nato base. We had a great time.
