My husband and I stayed at this very central hotel for 3 days. It was close to the ruins and train stations, which where about 10/20 mins walking distance. It was basic, but clean and adequate and provided a breakfast. We particularly liked the lovely fresh bread in the mornings. The staff were pleasant and helpful and made us feel...

Hotel Iside provided a clean, quiet two night stay while we visited Pompei. Arrived on the Circumvesuviana train from Napoli Centrale. Dirty train, ugly views on the 40 minute trip, wondering all the time if this trip to Pompei may have been a mistake. Far from it, we had a wonderful stay. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and walked...

*A great family run hotel with good location near the ruins. The room was nice and clean with a large bathroom (quadrouple). The staff was VERY nice and friendely and really made you feel welcome. This is a hotel we will rememeber and would strongly recommend it.

Less than five minutes walk from the Amphitheater entrance to Pompeii the Inside Hotel offers simple but clean rooms at reasonable prices. There is free secure parking in the orange grove behind the hotel. The owners go out of their way to welcome their guests and loaned us an illustrated guide to Pompeii that would normally have cost 12 Euros.

Location is great: we had limited time, but walking distance to the Pompeii scavi and easy access to the Ercolaneo station on the local "circumvesuviana" train to visit Herculaneum made the logistics a breeze. Friendly staff, clean rooms and nothing touristy/gimmicky. For a big glass of red wine we paid only 1.30 Euro!! What a contrast to most other places...

We decided to stay in Pompeii to get an early start at the ruins. The new town is OK but the circumvesuviana railway scavi stop is just by the ruins and we should have stayed in Sorrento 30 mins away. It is worth noting you can only get to Sorrento from the Scavi station (about 2km from centre) and not...

We fully enjoyed our stay at Hotel Iside. The room was wonderfully air-conditioned and even with a roll away bed comfortably spacious. The bathroom was nice as well. We particularly enjoyed the couple who ran the hotel. Truly Italian, they went out of their way to help us with our time in Pompeii. Their English was not as fluent as...

We had wanted to stay at a different hotel but it was full when we tried, even though it was 2 months in advance of our travel date, so we made reservations for this one instead. This hotel is located very close to, but off of, the beaten path. The view from our room was of some dilapidated buildings and...

I stayed at the Iside for two weeks whilst excavating the ruins. It's in a great location and the rooms and bathroom (although a little basic) are immaculate. The front gate and door are secure and on a buzzer entry so felt very safe. Franco and Sylvia (and their family) made me feel very welcome and served a fantastic breakfast....
