We travelled to Pompeii with a group of friends and chose Hotel Vittoria as our base for exploring the Amalfi coast. It was wonderful. The hotel is situated right beside the gates to the Pompeii ruins. We could explore these in a leisurely way. We were a 5 minute walk from the train station which brought us down to Sorrento...

We stayed here so we could visit the Pompeii Ruins and we couldn't have chosen a better spot. The staff was very helpful and friendly, they helped us park our rental car on-site and let us leave it there after check-out while we visited the ruins. They even stored our luggage at the reception desk until we were done with...

We had some difficulty getting to the hotel because our GPS went haywire before we got there. We were stopped on the street by another traveler who was also lost because of their GPS. Pompeii Triangle? Closely check a map before driving there. There were no signs for the hotel that we saw. It is true that there is only...

The location of this hotel is incredible, just one step away from the famous scavi of Pompei. The flavour is from the last century, with a grandiose staircase leading to the upper floors. Our room had views of the ruin, which was a bonus. I would not dine here again though because the dinner was quite ordinary.

Loved the location! We only stayed one night and it was a quick visit. The beds are not very comfortable, but you can't beat looking out of your balcony to view the ruins of Pompeii 😍 There's a large market within walking distance, gas stations, plenty of restaurants, souvenir shopping and great gelato.

What a treat. We had a terrace off of our room with a view of the ruins. This hotel is the meeting point for many of the tours. I asked our guide from Tours of Pompeii.com to meet us here since this is where we had booked our room. Perfect! Hotel has an updated bath. Hot water is not very...

Wonderful stay - we thoroughly recommend staying here. It is right next to an entrance to the ruins that is used by tour groups and buses park nearby. Some people complain about the noise of the freeway and the noise of buses but what the heck - you are on holiday; enjoy what the holiday gives you. I did wake...

Thank you for your kind comments and we are glad you enjoyed our stay with us at Hotel Vittoria. We are very aware of the list of " THINGS TO DO" and hopefully next time you come back to Pompei you will see some of these improvements.

The entrance to the ruins is less than a minute away! Payment is not due until you arrive. Parking is available and free. Staff were extremely helpful, from front desk to the dining room. Breakfast is cold but a good selection and starts at 730am. Small elevator to upper rooms. The room was clean, dark and quiet. A perfect night...

This is a very friendly and convenient place to stay when you want to visit the ruins of Pompei, Herculaneum, Naples, Mount Vesuvius, Paestum and so on. The staff is very helpfull and the rooms are great. Soon I'll go back with the school kids I guide around Italy's artistic and historical treasures.

This hotel is a fantastic family run hotel that is the most convenient to stay at if you want to visit the ruins...literally a 30 second walk to the main entrance. The owners of the hotel were so hospitable and organised a private tour of the ruins for us on the evening we arrived. Our room had a huge balcony...
