Exceptional hospitality, care and scrupulous attention to detail and guests'needs by the hosts. Charming location in lovely facility. If you want the true Naples, this is the place. We visited four our 50th anniversary and they had arranged a late night pick-up, room upgrade and personal gr÷ting. What a delightful experience and education. Flawless.

From the moment Paolo and Patrizia welcome you into their inn, you will feel like a member of their family. Set back from the street inside a quaint courtyard, Weekend a Napoli charms you at every step. Blessed with generations of insider's knowledge, the couple will guide you to all the best restaurants and gelaterias in the Vomero neighborhood, a tree-lined, quiet retreat set apart from the bustle of the Centro Storico. Atop a steep hill, the Vomero neighborhood is an easy distance from the sights of Centro Storico by way of magnificent funiculars rides that take you to the most important sites around this glorious city. We loved returning home to the quiet of Vomero after busy days on the crowded streets of Centro Storico. Weekend a Napoli is the perfect destination for a family or couple seeking a quiet place distant enough from the hubbub of the Centro Storico yet within easy reach.

I am perplexed by the multitude of excellent reviews for this hotel. I prefer to write positive reviews reflecting a great experience, but I booked Weekend a Napoli on the basis of reviews on this site so feel I should share my experience. Positives: the location was good for exploring an area of Naples that we probably would have missed had we not stayed here. Paolo was very helpful with advice on how to make the most of our one afternoon in Naples, and we enjoyed a couple of city tours. He also recommended and booked a local pizzeria for us. We were kindly allowed an early check-in. The building was old and atmospheric and housed adjacent to a lovely green courtyard. The porter was very helpful. Negatives: Our room, on the ground floor, smelled damp & there were room scenters dotted around to try to disguise it. The shower needed a refresh. The window opened out onto a busy street; it was really noisy into the small hours (it was a Saturday night) and difficult to sleep. We were presented with a sheet of printed breakfast options upon arrival which we had to complete immediately. We requested breakfast at 8.30am and had an airport taxi booked for 10am. At 8.10am we were phoned to ask us to come to breakfast as it was ready. Breakfast was a disappointment, reminiscent of a poor airline omelette and a small roll, and we had to ask for a couple of items that we'd already requested. There didn't appear to be any other guests, and the atmosphere was a little strained. We asked whether our taxi could be brought forward and ended up leaving early for the airport. Overall our stay here was a peculiar experience, and at £180 for one night - expensive .

Response from Weekend a Napoli Boutique Hotel, Proprietario at Week-end a Napoli
Responded 1 week ago
evening, thank you for the positive part of the review, but we would like to respond to negative annotations. The room was used a lot during the summer and, despite the possibility of using the dehumidifier, the air conditioner was used a lot at low temperatures which caused problems for the room, so much so that we proceeded to repaint it. As for the "perfumers", we are not talking about cheap deodorants, but essences purchased in Florence with the express desire to give a perfume that we associate with the room, not to cover odors, but for pleasure. After all, in the building which is not old, but in liberty style as per the architecture of that period in this area, everything we do always follows a logic linked to hospitality. Having called you at 8.10 did not mean to rush you, but knowing the Neapolitan traffic we were pleased that you could eat breakfast in peace. Breakfast of your choice, but if you had asked for anything else we would have had no problem getting it to you. We are sorry that you consider your stay "expensive", but for twenty years we have been aware - and so are the customers who have visited us and who return - of the level of welcome we reserve for our guests, as well as of the location of the venue it is not secondary. As for the chaos of Saturday night, unfortunately it can be found in every corner of the city on the weekend. However, it was a pleasure for us to have you as guests. We thank you again. Patrizia&Paolo

We are really pleased that we chose to stay at Weekend in Napoli and in Vomero. On arrival we were warmly greeted and a staff member helped with our luggage. The room was as the photos and was delightfully comfortable and clean. I’m not sure if the room we had was designed for 3 people or not but I wouldn’t have wanted to sleep on the couch (which I think is a fold out ) …so I am reviewing the junior suite for 2 people. It was really nice to have tons of space and there was plenty of wardrobe space and shelving to allow us to truly unpack. The room is probably not suited to someone with mobilty issues due to the narrow staircase to access the bedroom mezzanine but this is clear on the photos. The bathroom is small but complete but if you are large of girth you might find accessing the shower a challenge. Nome of this concerned us. We received fantastic advice on what to see and where to eat and Paulo and Patrizia are quite rightly super proud of Vomero where they live. The eating and shopping is so good that one might be tempted to not venture into the rest of Napoli…but you must because the city is so rewarding. Life was made easy for us by being able to purchase transport day passed direct from Paulo and Patrizia. Paulo’s Napoletana Nativity scenes are so so special and it was a delight to hear about this tradition. The reason we have rated our stay 4 not 5 (and if I could give 4.5 I would!!) is that the breakfast, while prepared and served with care, was not of the standard we have experienced in all our other locations on this trip. You are asked to choose your options on your first night and it is hard to understand what you might get. I changed some of my choices the next day but the quality and volume of breads and pastries was not as great as it could have been, and the fruit was a whole piece rather than sliced and presented. Things might change now that Covid restrictions have relaxed. Cleanliness is outstanding and we really love the conversations we had as we arrived home or at breakfast every day. We would certainly consider returning.

Weekend a Napoli is a small B&B in the Vomero, a quiet, walkable, tree-lined neighborhood above the congested chaos of Naples. Paulo and Patrizia are excellent hosts, very welcoming and friendly with helpful suggestions. The large house is beautiful and came down through the family and has several Neapolitan "Presepe" (nativity scenes) scenes made by Paulo's grandfather. The church of San Gennaro is around the corner, many restaurants and an ATM nearby. Paulo helped us with a taxi, ensuring the driver understood we had to catch a train. I would highly recommend this hotel if you want a safe and quiet place in Naples.

My wife and I enjoyed an outstanding stay at Weekend a Napoli, our home base for our stay in Naples and both the first and last stop on our honeymoon. The digs are first-rate, the breakfast excellent and fortifying, and Patrizia and Paolo were exceedingly helpful and accommodating. The building, a sumptuous and elegant old palazzo, is a treasure, and the garden is sublime. Also, we had doubts about our decision to stay outside of the Centro Storico, but Vomero is where it's at: a wonderful, lively, and safe place to stay in Naples. Don't miss Spritzero for all your apero hour needs, Buatta for outstanding simple meals that feel homemade, and Caffe Mexico for a jolt of early morning caffeine, all within a few blocks. Plus, the funiculars are great fun, and the Pedimentina down to the Spacca Napoli offers outstanding views out to the Bay and Vesuvius. We will certainly return to Weekend a Napoli on our next trip to Naples.

I arrived to a beautiful Mansion turned bed and breakfast in Napoli on 9-24-2022. Patrizia and Paolo are the warmest couple. I was alone meeting friends the next day and felt helped and cared for by this wonderful couple. My room was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. If you are traveling to the capital of Italy, I suggest this bed and breakfast a 110%!!!!

Our 3-night stay at Weekend a Napoli worked out exceedingly well. Our accommodations met a very high standard as did the morning breakfast. Situated in the Vomero district, on a high hill adjacent to downtown, there are pedestrian areas with plenty of upscale shops and a pleasant atmosphere, while having less of the relentless traffic, crush of people, and garbage experienced downtown. This is a residential area full of life where evenings everyone is out-and-about. There are 3 funiculars going down to sea level within walking distance. The proprietors, Patrizia and Paolo, were the essential ingredients in enabling us to make the most of Vomero. Asking their suggestions on where to go for a pizza lunch and a nice dinner paid off handsomely. Consequently, we kept on asking; leading us to experience one really outstanding meal after another. Patrizia spent an hour one morning exploring some nearby shopping streets with my wife. P&P are charming and enthusiastic hosts with an abundance of local knowledge. Ask Paolo about his time as a young man competing as a Road Rally driver.

Patrizia and Paolo were wonderful hosts and really welcomed us into Napoli with open arms. They sat with us our first morning in the city and gave us some amazing recommendations for places to visit and more importantly places to eat! We were looked after at Weekend a Napoli and would recommend to anyone looking to visit the city and seeking an authentic experience advised by friendly locals. We hope to be back very soon!
