This place has many things going for it. It's in a good location (when the massive construction project is finished) and the staff were very helpful (Adriana especially). The entrance is not like a hotel - it's an apartment block with a typical Naples courtyard (down at heel) and a small lift to get to the second floor. The room...

Extremely helpful and firendly staff, great price / service ratio. Very personal. Hard to find, which makes it all the more fun. Great rooms, mine was on two stories with a little balcony. Perfectly quiet courtyard that is classic Naples. I will definetely go again.

A very nice hotel in the nice but not so clean town of Naples. It´s designed with light coloured nature materials and the room was fantastic with bathroom one floor up and a magnificent wiew of the ocean. Very comfortable beds and perfect temp with A/C. The breakfast was absolutely perfect with fresh juice, musli, fresh fruit, good coffe and...

Don't listen to the guide books (Rick Steve in particular) there is a lot to do and see in Naples and it deserves your time. We stayed at the Micalo and it was fantastic. We traveled with our young children, my sister and a friend and needed many rooms. All rooms were clean and modern. We LOVED the linen sheets....

My wife and I enjoyed a one stay at this small hotel in the Chiaia area of Napoli. If you are a walker, you can walk to most of the attractive areas of the city from here. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

We booked this hotel via the internet and sent a detailed email that we needed rooms for 9 persons over 3 nights. On arrival we were informed that on one night we were one room short so to make up they added a portable bed into an already crowded triple room and charged us an extra 45 euros for their...

We picked up this hotel in Chic Retreat and felt it looked good. However, how wrong can you be. I checked before confirming our booking that the Road Works had finished outside the hotel. We were told that the works had indeed moved down the road. That's a lie. They hadn't and indeed are still right outside the hotel. The...

Micalo, Owner at Hotel Micalo, responded to this review

I am sorry that these clients did not enjoyed their stay with us. Most clients sent to us through Chic Retreats do. They are very selective and only accept certain types of hotels. We are a typical Chic Retreats type hotel. I will respond to this client’s comments. 1) Micalò is set on the second floor of an old 17th-century...

I have never writen a review and do not like the ability of people being able to influence a person's business (in this case a family run hotel) without proper appeal. However, I have to add my comments to the Micalo review site because some of the comments I read are unjust and wrong. We stayed for 4 nights and,...
