STELLE HOTEL NAPELS Despicable 924804497 This is the most awful hotel I’ve stayed at. I have never in my life written a review like this I’ve been unhappy before but I have never let it ruin a vacation I let it roll off but this hotel is the worst by far. When we first got to the hotel and went to our rooms (we had 2 rooms) our room had stains on the sheets and bed cover so we took them off and put them in a pile on the luggage rack in the room. I called down to the front desk and told her about the situation. She sent the house cleaning staff in to change sheets. Wonderful I thought, then I get a phone call demanding I come to the front desk so we went down, I was then yelled at and told how dare I take the sheets off the bed. I was dumbfounded by this and just went blank. The manger I’m assuming went back into the office and the lady at the front desk said we’d get new sheets. At this point I’m still in shock ( I never raised my voice or talked down to them I must add) we went to the room and there were still white hard crusty stains ( not kidding) on the bed cover so I called down and asked them to come look for themselves and I didn’t touch the bedding this time. The other manger (I’m assuming)came this time and got the house keeper to put new covers and a pillow and the whole time she was muttering under her breath about us. Now we have clean sheets on the beds and I’m mad by this point and really trying to keep my cool as I have just recently been a widow and I took my 4 children on a vacation to Italy. The MOLD omg was every where and when I mentioned it to the manager he says it’s because of the humidity. The humidity in Canada is much worse and if there is mold clean it get rid of it don’t let it fester. I had had it by now so I looked on line at the reviews. I sooo wish I had looked before I booked threw a travel agency and didn’t think to but lesson learned. We did find a fabulous restaurant that I had read in the reviews so I thank the person for that tidbit that made our night better. We landed up leaving and finding a better hotel just a few minutes away the next morning and we were so happy they were kind and the rooms were beautiful. Trattoria Pizzeria Ieri, Oggi, Domani Is the restaurant we went to. Una hotel is the one we stayed at in place of this Dispicable hotel. I really hope they clean there act up but I think you should know if your taking the time to read reviews. Hope you have a great adventure!

I was sceptical when looking at other reviews before my trip but the Stelle Hotel was a great place to stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. The reception, the lift, the hallways and the room we stayed in were kept clean and tidy. The breakfast buffet every morning had fresh food, juices, teas and coffees. The room was cleaned each day when we were out and we were provided with slippers, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, shower caps etc. Despite being situated on a really busy street, the noise levels during the night weren't bad at all. As someone who is used to sleeping with white noise at home and didn't have it here, I had no issue falling asleep. The bed was a little harder than I was used to but that was fine for a couple of nights. We had a room with a balcony facing out onto the street, which looked more intimidating during the day than it did come night time when everything was open and alive. The only downside to the balcony was that the floor hadn't been cleaned, so you trailed dirt and dust back into the room from both feet and shoes. The air conditioning also wasn't able to be controlled in the room, which was fine when I went as it was upwards of 26 degrees each night but during milder weather, it would be better if this was able to be controlled within the room. The hotel is situated behind the main train station, which was handy as there was a back exit from the hotel that led straight there. The station is busy but clean and has a good choice of shops, cafes and places to find food and drinks. The main street in front of the hotel is filled with small shops and restaurants. It is situated really well. I've seen a lot of reviews warning people about the area but aside from the top of the street closest to the train station that the hotel is on, the area is fine.

This hotel is located in a busy part of the city next to the railway station. We were warmly welcomed by receptionists who were both extremely helpful and efficient. Room was lovely, comfortable and clean also very quiet considering location. Breakfast was ok and served by a very polite, helpful waitress. We would like to thank Jonida who was on reception whilst we were waiting to be picked up for a trip to the Amalfi coast. She had experienced another couple who had been waiting outside the hotel and had missed their day trip because they had been told the wrong address. Jonida suggested that we rang the tour company to double check our pick up and... we had been told the wrong address!! We managed to race across to the correct hotel and thankfully had our day trip. Thanks again Jonida for looking after your guests and going that extra mile to help...you're a star!!

The hotel is conveniently located in the center, on walking distance from the railway station. I had a king suite which was very spacious, quiet and comfortable, with a separate seating area and work desk. The breakfast was not that special and served in a small room - maybe because it was on a Sunday.

Stayed here for 5 nights with my fiancé (M24 F22 from Scotland) and the first part of this review is nothing to do with the hotel but I would just like to make anyone who reads this review aware of a few things that we found out during our stay in Naples. Firstly, we did not feel safe at all during our stay. There are a lot of dodgy characters walking around, especially at night - we saw a woman, clearly on something, walking around with no pants on, we saw guys with baseball bats as well as guys with huge winter jackets on in 30°C heat clearly concealing something, but also with sandals on??? 🤔 However, I think for us, the main thing was the driving here, and, sorry anyone from Naples reading this, but you are a bunch of lunatic drivers. It seems to us that there are no rules of the road in Naples, it's an absolute free for all, and it's actually a bit ridiculous. Something as simple as crossing the road felt so dangerous to us because even at a designated crossing area, no one will stop for you. You have to actually start walking across the road and just hope and pray that the cars will stop for you then, or else they'll just swerve around you. One moment sticks out in particular though, where we were genuinely milliseconds away from getting run over by an idiot on a moped, he was so close to hitting us and then he started shouting at us and going crazy at us, as if we were in the wrong even though he was driving up the WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD, like I said - lunatics. But yeah, we did not feel safe, so much so that we'd come straight back to the hotel after our excursions, much earlier than we usually would on these kind of city breaks just because we did not feel safe walking the streets due to the dodgy characters, dodgy areas and the lunacy of the driving. So, just be wary of that if you do visit here. Now then, regarding the actual hotel. I'll start off by saying that the staff were very friendly, which was a nice change of pace from the majority of other staff encounters we had out and about in the city. There was one woman in particular, short dark hair, I didn't catch her name, but she always greeted you with a smile, very friendly. Our room was nice and clean, had a mini bar, TV, shower, and air conditioning. Mini bar was a bit expensive for what it was but I suppose that kind of thing is to be expected. There were, however, two issues I had with the room. 1. The A/C stopped working after day 1 2. The shower had two heads, one main, big head and then a smaller second head, for some reason the water flow just started coming out of the smaller one with not as much pressure and just in an awkward position and we couldn't get it back to the main shower head. Final thing I'd like to mention is that the breakfast at the hotel was very poor, hardly any options and not very good options at that. The pineapple juice was class though. Also fair play if you've read all of that, absolute novel.

I have no idea why this place gets bad reviews as we thought this place was awesome (yes, not the best area but it definitely wasn’t as scary as others commented, but maybe it was the time of year??) We are lucky enough that we stay in amazing places around the world so we are pretty picky but we enjoyed this place for everything it did have to offer. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The main daytime lady with short hair (wish I had caught her name) was exceptionally helpful. We managed to snag the Junior Suite with balcony. HUGE! Many, many toiletries. Very comfortable. So nice to have a balcony at night. Our room was very quiet as well. The hot part of the breakfast was sparse but it was good. Always fresh hot scrambled eggs. The juice there was the best I had in any breakfast buffet. Friendly breakfast person. We would stay here again, especially if travelling by train as literally 2/3 mins to train station.

Do not stay in this hotel! We picked this hotel for our last two nights in Naples, because it was supposed conveniently located nearby the airport since our trip back to USA was very early in the morning. But everything turned out to be a bad selection. First, the hotel is located in a very bad neighborhood, really sketchy to go walking around any time. The showers in our rooms were not very clean neither. But the worst experience was when we were going to schedule our taxi to the airport for early in the morning. The guy at the front desk called the taxi company and then told us that the taxi may not show up to pick us up!! We asked then for options and the guy just said “don’t know!!” Anyway, we ended up going to the airport at 11:00pm and spend the night at the airport, rather than staying at the hotel and missing our flight. They DO NOT HAVE any airport shuttle service, you have to book it by yourself. Very disappointed with the whole service! By the way, breakfast is also terrible!! Cold scramble eggs!!

After staying in Naples I can see why it's rated this high; Naples is filthy and unpleasant beyond words. It was shocking when we arrived by train and had to walk to this hotel. The hotel is less than 5 minutes from the train station. The hotel was great. Rooms were spacious and clean and comfortable. The showers (mine and my travel companions room) had mold that was super off putting. A simple bleach and scrubbing would fix it? We arrived after a 5 hour train ride and walked past no less than a dozen bodies sleeping on the bare sidewalk at the station in every stage of despair and filth. My travel companion asked for her shower to be cleaned (had someone else's hair in it) and was told one word "tomorrow". Well we had an excursion at 8am so we asked for a Manager to get a clean room. He wouldn't come out from the back and relayed "we're full". On a positive note, if you do get placed here by any of the Tour groups, there are 5 star restaurants near by; not sure why the Hotel wouldn't have names available. The Mediterranean is half a block down (to the right) across the street and half a block down the road that is in front of the hotel on the right is the "Ieri, Oggi, Domani. Go to either, you will not be disappointed! As for the Hotel staff we will be working with our tour company but they ALL need training in Tourism, we were there for 3 days and had ONE pleasant girl serving breakfast who smiled. Not one staff member interacted, smiled, greeted or acknowledged us the entire stay. It really put a stain on our 12 days in Italy, Naples is not a stop you want to make!!!!

The trek from the train station to the hotel is harrowing. You'll walk past and amidst overloaded garbage bins spilling onto garbage laden streets and walking paths. So many homeless, which is heart-wrenching in itself, but the conditions of their feces and menstrual stained clothing as they lay in the open and in many states of health, sleep, awareness and need is shocking and leaves you to wonder who cares for them. There is a tunnel that runs from the train station to Stelle and this is a better path, however beware the pickpockets that station themselves there. They are professional and know how to disengage tourists in a seemingly helpful manner. Once at the hotel, our shower was left unclean. When we asked for housekeeping, we were told there would be nobody to clean until the next day. The desk clerk offered no help, smile, accommodation or even friendliness in any way. When following up to ask for a clean room, the manager tucked away into a back office and the desk clerk liaised between us, relaying no other rooms were available. When contacting Meet and Greet (the tour company), they were told we had been the ones to use the shower and the hair and debris was ours. It was only our video evidence that had Meet and Greet take our side and the hotel clerk acquiesce and provide any helpful service. We used our video to show the colour of my hair, the unused towels, the condition of the shower, etc. Knowing the area, the desk clerks could have offered places to eat that we felt safe to walk to, or suggested drivers to take us to our destinations, but there was not a single receptionist during our stay that was inclined to aid us in any way. We were nothing but polite and cordial...to no avail.

Breakfast is very limited. Poor. This hotel booked by Pichyourtrail, Chennai base tour company and they make money in name of four star hotel. That is not a single Star but an ordinary hotel. Only one thing is positive to this hotel, its closed to Napoli centrale. And easy to take train from there.
