The hotel is rather 3 star than 4 star. It needs a general overhaul or renovation of the rooms. The price is too high for the offered. The junior suites are not worth their money because much too small. The beds including pillows smelled strongly of sweat, and the mattresses were extremely soft, deep sinking. The service staff was mostly... More

Dear Sandro G thank you for this comments. Our hotel is an ancient monastery and its particular character is due to the use of tufo rocks for the walls. That can cause some continous maintenance works that we actually have. In our website you can see the size of each room and some pictures of each category. We have classic... More

Enjoyed our stay. All staff were very helpful and friendly. Quite a walk uphill from main area of Naples but worth it for the view. Fairly quiet at this time of year and the pool and roof area were closed. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant and enjoyed breakfast on the terrace with stunning views.

When we first arrived, we immediately headed to the roof for a good look at the view and it was jaw dropping. You could see over the entire bay, even as far as Vesuvius. We stayed at the hotel 4 nights, and the rooms were roomy and comfy, as were the beds. Also on the roof there was a pool... More

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary with a two night at this hotel last weekend. Location: 30 min taxi from the airport (we paid an outrageous €30), 5 min taxi journey from the train station (€13-15). 15 minutes walk from Toledo underground station through a working class and safe neighbourhood. Hotel: an old monastery, full of character including... More

Loved the hotel. Views were stunning. But...the pool bar closed at 5pm and as check in is at 2pm we didn't get chance to make the most of the terrace. Room was nice but our air con didn't work so it was too hot and reception couldn't offer us a fan. It's easy to get the funicular railway from the... More

This hotel is a converted monastery. It is absolutely gorgeous. I know there are a lot of pictures posted already, so take the time to look through those. First, the basics: the hotel was very clean, our room (single, king bed) was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, good shower/bathroom, the staff was incredibly friendly (helped us arrange a trip... San Francesco al Monte is an interesting converted monastery with amazing views of Mt Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples from the bedrooms. The hotel is positioned a little away from the city centre- this didn't bother us too much as its is easy enough to get to with the funicular just a short walk up the road, and there's... More

We visited this hotel lately for a three night stay Wednesday - Saturday while visiting Naples. Our room was located on the third floor directly across from the main function room where they had wedding's every night during our staying. Far from relaxing with Wedding noise until the early hours of the morning. Reception staff not the most helpful and... More

Fantastic location and views from the roof top bar/swimming pool, and breakfast is fantastic! Great staff and very helpful and welcoming, wonderful rooms - we had a beautiful view from our window, breakfast was superb and we will be back! The walk down to the shopping area and bay was fab! Thank you for a very amazing stay.

This hotel was our oasis and refuge in this loud, dirty and aggressive city. The hotel is ancient and has charm and unique offerings including the most beautiful roof garden we've ever seen (it was grass, trees, flowers and gorgeous views!) Our room was more than adequate with two huge Windows looking over the bay. For us it was a... More
