We stayed here for four nights and were very happy with our comfortable quiet room on the top floor. The hotel felt like a bit of a calm oasis after the manic streets of Naples and had an excellent selection of continental breakfast options which we ate on the nice terrace. Excellently located close to Garibaldi station where the airport bus drops you off and also with easy access to both metro lines. Lots of restaurants nearby. Really convenient for Porta Nolana for Pompeii and Herculaneum. Make sure you buy the Campania Artecard, which gives free transport and two free site admissions with discounts thereafter. All in all we were very happy with our choice, thank you Ibis.
The hotel is conveniently located near Naples main train station and associated Metro station. The total is in a side alley that feels a bit seedy but I actually say nothing occurring. Room is exactly what you would expect of a Ibis style. Just a place to stay but with a good bathroom and a good shower (something that you do not often get in Italy).. Staff was helpful and friendly.
Minus: Couldn't stand the air conditioning in the hotel, we got sick from it. Ants in the bathroom. Very basic breakfast, more than other Ibis/Ibis Styles hotels. Beds squeaked and creaked all the time. Adding a minibar to the room would make Ibis Styles as a brand much better. Plus: Nice terrace in the back, nice staff, good shower (love the no-slip shower floors many Ibis hotels have). Soap in the shower smelled nice. Central location, but I wouldn't go out during night time.
Had a 3 night stay at this property. We chose it because for many years we have stayed at Accor hotels with no issues. While we did not experience any particular issue, the stay was not as pleasant as we expected. The room was very run down, in desperate need for a renovation. There was no view (unless you want to call a rail yard a view), and to get in and out of the hotel you have to walk through a not-so-pleasant area. The breakfast was very basic and not a lot of options to chose from. The highlight was the staff, very nice and friendly. Overall, if you stay here, you get what you paid for.
Near the station, the windows are super well insulated not a sound outside filters. Great bedding, very professional reception and breakfast staff. Good value for money with Accor card. For one night very good
We stayed here for one night on our way through Naples. The city itself and the neighbourhood this hotel is in were dirty and a little smelly. However, this hotel was a bright spot of our stay. Very close to bus stops and train station. Clean and comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Decent breakfast offerings.
My wife and I stayed here for a 4 night break in September, and the hotel seemed ideally located, close to the railway station and just a step away from the popular Piazza Garibaldi. On arrival we were surprised at the run-down appearance of some of the surrounding properties, but the hotel itself was very good indeed. The room was spotlessly clean and well equipped, and the and the staff were almost universally friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were simple cold-buffets, but were well prepared and maintained, and could be eaten indoors on on an outside terrace. Given the proximity of the hotel to the railway, we were particularly impressed with the quality of the soundproofing, and our sleep was completely undisturbed throughout our stay. Our only frustration was with the lady who acted as the night receptionist for a couple of nights during our stay, who seemed too burdened with her other duties rather than be a welcoming presence for returning guests!…
Stayed for 3 nights. Very comfortable room with good size bathroom. Breakfast offerings were good, though not hot selections but an acceptable continental breakfast. Close to railway stations and a good selection of restaurants nearby
Stayed for thee nights last week on a trip for work. The hotel itself is super clean and the rooms are nice too. There is a lovely terrace outside to sit and have a drink in the evenings or breakfast in the mornings. The breakfast buffet was lovely. The area the hotel is in is clearly not the richest side of town but despite a fairly littered street leading to the hotel, I didn't feel unsafe at any point. There are a few nice restaurants in the immediate area and for further trips the metro and train stations are a stones throw away. What really made the stay great though were the superb staff. Super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable on where to go and what to see. After checking out we had most of the day to kill before heading too the airport and we were welcome to hang around the hotel until it was time to leave.…
Postivies first nice friendly staff good location for trains to Pompeii and Herculaneum, however not the best location for visiting Naples itself cheap basic breakfast but it was adequate Noise from trains was more vibration than noise so did not put us off too much I do understand its an ibis styles so basic amenities but no fridge in room, no ice machine, no vending machine, no board games etc negatives bed very uncomfortable, can't stress this enough. it was very thin lumpy mattress and the bed was SOO noisy every time you moved, this led to no sleep for all 4 of us in two rooms for the 3 nights. Worst bed was room 204. I complained at checkout and was given a bottle of water as compensation lol...I laughed when I was given it, at least it was chilled..... Aircon in our room had spells of very noisy or pretty quiet, no rhyme or reason for the noise but it seemed to happen at the most inopportune times, like 7am when you wanted to sleep. we switched it off and back on and that seemed to do the trick. Lack of sleep was the main complaint here or I would have given 3 stars…
