The hotel is perfectly located close to the city and close to the lungomare and everything about it works perfectly. It’s a small friendly comfortable hotel that genuinely cares about its guests.
Before we arrived we had a number of questions that were answered by email almost immediately, taxi booked and waiting for us at the airport and from then on it was as smooth and comfortable as it could be. The front of house team are helpful, professional, efficient and show genuine warmth and friendliness , Linda is a standout but they were all great, including the night team. Breakfast is generous and varied, everyday different Italian cakes plenty of pastries and cheese and fruit and the breakfast team are brilliant at replenishing the buffet and enabling people to be seated quickly even when we all come down at the same time. Isaac particularly was brilliant at scanning the room and managing everything speedily and unobtrusively. A real star. Housekeeping too, quick and unobtrusive. Lovely bed linen.
It’s the type of place you wish you could stay in in every city
Thank you to you all there.

Stayed here for one night after returning from Amalfi coast it was a last minute booking and we were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Situated at the harbour it was a great location for getting into the centre of Naples within a 10/15min walk. The reception staff on arrival were friendly and our room was ready early at 12pm which was appreciated after an early start and drive. The room was clean and spacious with all the amenities you would expect. The bathroom was on the small side but for one night was fine. No lift in the hotel so you do have to carry luggage up the stairs however there is only roughly 13 steps to climbs so not a problem. I would definitely stay in this hotel again if we visited Naples again.

Hotel is on the 1st floor, after getting up the stairs the welcome was friendly and was told about the hotel. We were offered pastries which was a nice touch.
Luggage was taken to the room, which was bright and airy decorated nicely. Downside was shower, it was tiny even for me. My husband really struggled.
Bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was good.
Breakfast was not the best far to many sweet things. This was explained at check in. The room is not big enough if there are lots of people, but you can sit outside. Ordering coffee was simple, asking for hot water and milk for tea was a bit harder.
The location is lovely, just a few steps to walk along the sea front with places to eat.

Hotel Rex was the 5th hotel we stayed at in Italy. We were on the ground floor which we were concerned about but the windows are well protected against the street noise. Although this is a mid-range hotel it is very elegant and clean. When we reached the hotel we were welcomed by Linda who made us feel immediately at home. The breakfast is lovely. The location is ideal because it is easy to reach from the train station and we were able to walk to great restaurants. Very much recommend. If possible, ask for a second floor but first floor is doable.

Our previous stay in Naples was in the busy historic centre. We were a bit frazzled after that, so very relieved on our return leg to be staying nearer to the port, where you got the benefit of the sea breeze and a more peaceful environment (as well as a wonderful view of Vesuvius from our window). The room was clean and spacious, and staff attentive and very professional. We were thrilled by breakfast, which offered a wide range of fruit, cereals, juices, savouries and traditional Neapolitan cakes. Great coffee made to order. This hotel is in an expensive area to stay, but because it isn't directly on the sea front the rates are far more reasonable. Will definitely return.

Recently, my wife and I spent few days in this hotel. Most of all, we appreciated an extremely friendly and helpful staff. The breackfast was very good. The hotel is located near the sea, and the historical city center can be easily reached on feet. By all parameters, this was a perfect choice.

Lovely little hotel in a perfect location for exploring Naples, we had an issue with our shower and it did get fixed eventually, the hotel owner was apologetic and very helpful with excursion recommendations. It’s not as glitzy as some of its neighbouring hotels but this is reflected in the prices. We very much enjoyed our stay and if we ever get to Naples again we would most certainly stay at the Rex again

Stayed for two nights. The room (and lobby) were very clean and covered in art so there was always something interesting to look at. The staff were all lovely, interactive and very helpful for recommendations and booking transport. The location was amazing - really close to nice restaurants, the sights we wanted to see and the water. But the breakfast buffet was next level - brilliant spread of sweet and savory Italian foods alongside the classic cereal, yoghurt etc. Lots of things bite size so easy to try new things which all ended up being delicious! Really good value for location and service.

We have stayed in Naples many times. Most hotels in this location are more expensive. We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Rex, the service is excellent. The personnel are friendly and very accommodating. This hotel is not as "fancy" as some of the hotels in this prime location, but it is a very nice hotel, less expensive and the service is better! We especially appreciated Linda who made everything perfect during our stay.

We chose this hotel because it was reasonably priced and had good reviews. It is in a nice part of Naples near the sea and port and is only a 10 minute walk to the Spanish Quarter. The hotel has really lovely employees who can’t do enough for you and want to make your stay as great as possible. Omar is lovely and so was Linda. The sea front has lots of bars and some good restaurants and comes alive at night. You won’t need to walk far for something to eat and there is also a large supermarket about 5 minutes away.
