The Hotel: An exceptional hotel. One of the best hotels in Italy, impeccable service, very comfortable bedrooms, professional and friendly hotel staff. The 9th Floor Bar: I had great time. Wonderful view, very warm atmosfear, comfortable seats, outstanding staff service, delicious cocktails. A special thanks to Antonio the bartender. A place that I recommend to go to tourists and local people.
Beautiful hotel in a nice safe setting, right on the water. It's close to some high end shopping. You can get rooms with a balcony that have incredible views over the bay of Naples and to Mount Vesuvius. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfy, good climate control. The area is quiet at night. I love staying here. Just look at the pictures, and you'll see what I mean. In addition, they have an awesome restaurant on the top floor, and an outdoor bar with even more spectacular views. Breakfast is a delicious buffet, with every possible sweet and savory food you could want. I highly recommend this hotel.
There are no positives here. A completely terrible customer service experience. My family and I booked a room online and unfortunately clicked the incorrect date. Granted, our mistake. Upon realising the mistake however we contacted the hotel and they would not move our booking to a suitable date or provide a refund/credit. Hence we were charged $630 Euro and have nothing to show for our payment. I'll call out front office manager Pino Ponzo as the culprit for being absolutely no help whatsoever to our polite, simple and reasonable request. Be warned.
A beautiful classic hotel that displays the charm of the old world Italian height of luxury. It was easy to imagine the impressive history this hotel has of hosting important international guests. I could have stayed a month in our enormous suite (especially for Italy). I loved the bathroom! Each morning and evening we enjoyed our relaxing view of the Bay of Naples, Castel dell Ovo, ocean liners, and colorful boats. It is so different than the noise and grit of Naples. Calling the impressive breakfast offering a “buffet” seems an injustice. It was a delight to sample such splendid pastries found only in Naples (THE best city in Italy for sweets!). Do not stick to the diet while staying in this hotel! We found the hotel staff highly efficient and professional. Do stroll outside at night walking along the waterfront and cross over to the Castel. I highly recommend this hotel! Ignore any nay sayers. (Bonus: Try Mammina’s down the street for a wide variety of the famous Neapolitan pizza).…
We had room 223, and honestly the room was ok, but a bit old style. I have to add that even tough the road is just across the rooms are very quiet. The whole building is Very clean and the rooms have all necessary amenities. What is lovely is the view, all the rooms are only facing the sea side and our had a view on Castel dell Ovo just across the road. The breakfast room beside having a very nice selection of local foods is located on the first floor again with a great view. To bad we could t enjoy the terrace because of the weather
We came from a bad experience in a favorite so called ‘five’ star hotel in Rome so were apprehensive about returning to a Naples favorite. We needn’t have worried. Staff were friendly and efficient, breakfast buffet was generous and plentiful (unlike the Rome hotel which blamed COVID for everything it lacked), the room had been refurbished, it was spotlessly clean and tidy and everything worked as it should. It was so reassuring to feel cushioned in luxury in a gritty city like Naples.
Excellent base for a 24 hour stay in Naples Modern exterior hides the old school charm inside. Amazing views of the castle and beyond out to sea over the bay Lovely pool and sauna but make sure you book on arrival No metro nearby but an easy walk to the main shopping streets, opera house etc and we walked to all the main tourist sites as quicker than a taxi in Naples traffic Amazing breakfast and view Professional service Some Lovely little romantic restaurants over by the castle especially officio del mare Lovely room with a comfy bed and well appointed bathroom Hotel Food and drinks were expensive and Sadly bad weather during our stay meant the rooftop bar was closed
Just back from a wonderful vacation in Italy! Group of 27 ladies and we were all in agreement that the Grand Hotel Vesuvio was a perfect location. They offer shuttles in town which was very convenient. The views from the outdoor lounge, entry and pool were amazing. The rooms were perfect, room and comfortable. The restaurant was great, a nice morning buffet was offered and a suitable lunch menu, dinner menu I loved ... lots of choices and I ate there most nights. The ladies were happy with the red and white wine :) The restaurant manager was very attentive when I was in need of assistance at night (nothing on their part more so on mine - Schedule - Ralpheal/Ralph made things happen;) You have to realize you are in Italy service isn't like you expect or receive in the states, relax and enjoy the wine:) Absolutely no complaints what so ever on this hotel, they treated our group wonderfully.…
Do NOT be fooled by the appearance, location or “Luxury” 5-star sign displayed as this hotel lacks on all fronts; terrible service, restaurant NOT open, mini bar not working and the staff unprofessional! When we reported the mini bar not working they did NOT care, when we asked for restaurant suggestions they shrugged their shoulders and said “We sold out our restaurant to a wedding party- you can go over to the castle and eat pizza.” The staff does not wear Covid masks- I had to tell the service person to put one on when they entered our room! There is a nice 5-star hotel next door- worst hotel- ever!
We were only here for 1 night but we wish we stayed longer as we were flying out of Naples and wanted a hotel close to the airport. Hotel is five stars and in a great location. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Rooms are large and nicely laid out. Beds are really comfortable and there are plenty of places to unwind and relax in your room. We loved the little bed for our daughter which helps when traveling with little ones although there was an additional fee for our daughter (3YO). Bathroom was amazing and clean and the towels were super soft and comfy. We enjoyed aperitivo on the 10th floor and loved exploring the hotel. The next time we are in Naples we know which hotel we are staying at. Thank you for a great experience and an amazing end to our Italy vacation.
