We are glad to give you the warmest welcome as our guests into Palazzo Sisto Riario Sforza. Here, in the heart of Naples old town within inches of Santa Chiara Church with its Cloister, the Veiled Christ and Via San Gregorio Armeno was born, in 2008, our Hotel. The Decumani Hotel de Charme was originally built during the 17th century and belonged to Sisto Riario Sforza, the last Archbishop of Naples in the Bourbon Kingdom of the Two Sicilies of which Naples was the capital. In 2008 we embarked on a major refurbishment programme for the second floor, where the Hotel is placed. The hotel has now been fully restored and equipping with all the modern conveniences our guests expect. A wide lounge, decorated with golden stuccoes and mirrors, testifies the illustrious past of this residence. All of our 22 bedrooms are fully air-conditioned and feature the following: soundproof windows, flat screen Television with international channels, safe, minibar, direct dial telephone and hairdryer. The Decumani Hotel de Charme is located in the Decumani, in the heart of the old town originally a Greek "polis" and then a Roman "urbs", an area wich represents with its squares, streets and alleys, a unique historical, cultural and artistic heritage, as it is testified by the acknowledgment of Unesco, which in 1995 declared the historic centre of Naples " the biggest open-air museum in the world".

I loved this hotel. Well run, clean, comfortable and quiet. Traditional atmosphere with lots of antiques. Excellent breakfast. I particularly liked the comfortable sitting areas outside the rooms. The management has taken large interior spaces and furnished them with couches creating nice places to sit and read. The location is ideal for sightseeing on foot. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Area may look a bit rough primarily because of the graffiti, but it isn’t. We are an elderly couple and walked around in the evening as well as during day and never felt unsafe.

Hotel's Favourite
As we walked into the fairly humble lobby of this hotel I thought to myself, this didn’t seem like what I saw in the pictures. But we were greeted with kindness and we got our keys and I went up to my room and I was so pleased by the charm and peacefulness that I felt in this lovely room with high ceilings and a beautifully appointed bathroom. As I explored more of the hotel, I was surprised as I turned each corner to find lovely sitting rooms and then the best room of all, the breakfast room. This hotel was such a perfect, calming and peaceful refuge from the noise and excitement of Naples. The breakfast each morning was such a treat, our service was excellent and the food just beautiful. Don’t miss out on your opportunity to experience this lovely place and enjoy the services of the knowledgeable and incredibly helpful staff.

Stayed for one night in September and it was surprisingly quiet (though we stayed midweek) despite such a central location. Reception staff were absolutely brilliant - could not fault them at all - so helpful. Our room was lovely, but it was right next to the restaurant so had we not needed to but up early for our flight - we would have been awake because of the noise of breakfast service so be mindful of that with your room location. Would recommend, just ask for a room away from the restaurant if you want a lie in.

Ornate charming hotel in the old city of Naples, that used to be a cardinal's palace turned into a hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious with a mini fridge if you wanted to indulge yourself. The breakfast room was lavish and so was the food consisted of Italian meat and cheese delicacies, smoked and plain mozzarella di Buffalo, ricotta cheese with citrus jam from Amalfi Coast, sauteed escarole tart, Neapolitan ricotta cheese Easter pie, Various croissants plain and stuffed with jam , chocolate and custard, eggs bacon yogurt, fruit, juices and here I must say do not leave without trying the freshly squeezed orange juice from oranges from Ribera Sicily. Who needs Stanley Tucci, we have Vincenzo helping us in the breakfast room. The front desk staff Federica, Luigi, Irene, Massimo.and especially Martina were very helpful. They outlined a plan of highlights to visit on a walk around the old city, and obtained the taxi we needed when it was time to leave.

I stayed for one night on my way back from Pompeii. Although the location was a little grotty like the rest of Napoli’s narrow streets, as soon as I stepped off the street I knew I had chosen the right spot😃. The staff were efficient and friendly and the room was grievous. It was enormous with a lovely selection of antiques and it was comfortable contemporary furniture Breakfast was delicious and provided from an highly ornate room. Location wise it was close to the metro University and city centre. If I go back to Napoli I will definitely stay there again.

the location couldn't be better - close to everything we needed, within walking distance. the facility is great, well maintained, and the breakfast hall was the biggest surprise - felt like we were dining in a palace. the staff was friendly and helpful - Federica, Luigi, Iren, Massimo and special thanks and appreciation to the breakfast lounge staff (I apologize but I didn't take their names and especially a lady that works there that was simply great and friendly).

Myself and my partner stayed here for 4 nights beginning of September. The hotel was in a great location 15mins walk to the main town centre and Spanish quarter. We arrived approx 9pm and check in was smooth the room itself was spacious and very clean- we loved the high ceilings! The breakfast was lovely and traditional Italian breakfast, two lovely restaurants to the right of hotel when you come out would recommend both if you just want to be close to hotel. I will say on the Saturday night in hotel was very noisy outside and filled with students however it did not bother me or my partner and we were informed hotel close to university and student go to bars near hotel at weekends. I would highly recommend hotel and would stay here again if we visit Naples again.

We just stayed 2 nights at the Decumani hoteland loved it. The hotel is central, which makes life easier. A short distance to the museo archeologico and the port. It is beautiful, the room with very high ceiling and charming with an excellent bed. The breakfast was out of this world. I recommend the ricotta with marmellata and the sfogliatelle. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. Federica negotiated a taxi who waited 3 hours for us to be done with rhe Pompeii visit. She want the extra mile to help. Special mention to Irène, Massimo and Martina who makes the breakfast such an enjoyable experience ! If we go back to Napoli, we know where to go

Very clean hotel and room, breakfast was great and the decor made it even more special. All staff we spoke to were really friendly and more than happy to help. Please don't be decieved by the surroundings, the hotel is a right gem with charming shops and pizzerias etc just a short walk away. The hotel itself is located around 15 minute walk from the harbour where you can get a bus to the train station and airport within 15-25 minutes.
