We traveled to Capri, Italy for vacation and chose to stay at the La Minerva based on reviews and photos we saw online. When we arrived the photos and reviews did not do this cute boutique hotel justice...the hotel was unbelievable! It was everything and...More
Our favorite hotel in all of Italy, largely due to the two brothers who own this fantastic hotel – Antonino and Luigi – and their excellent staff, Marco and Kamal. We cannot say enough about how great Antonino was – from explaining the best things...More
This is an amazing hotel. The location is gorgeous, the hotel is beautifully decorated and it excels in the areas that you want a hotel to excel in - service, cleanliness, amenities, etc. It's also very reasonably priced. We were met at the dock and...More

I agree with Brian M. that day trips are a hassle. Best to spend 4 nights in one spot, as each town offers lovely hikes and views. I have been to Capri 10+ times, most recently for a full week. There is plenty to do there, if you like to walk. Positano is fun for no more than 2 days. I love Calabria: Monopoli, Lecce, Alberobello. Unlike the Amalfi Coast, Calabria is a region in which you can stay at one place and make day trips as long as you have a car. The drive from Naples is about 2 hours and easy, and the Bari airport is a good hub.
