This was our third stay at La Minerva and it will not be our last. Perfect hosts, perfect location and magnificent views.
You will probably be able to book here during the busy season. You should try the off season in early spring.
It's obvious that La Minerva is consistently top notch. The hotel itself is lovely and well situated for beautiful views and near the prettiest places to walk. The helpful things they do to remove any hassle and make your stay a pleasant one also can't...More
The La Minerva three brothers and their staff were incredibly friendly and informative about the sites and eats of quaint Capri. The rooms were first rate and bed soft and comfortable. The views of the sea at sunrise and sunset were enchanting. We felt at...More
Really hate to write this deserving review for fear more people will find out about this great place. We feel so much a part of the family when we are here. We cannot think about a year passing when we are not here.

I agree with Brian M. that day trips are a hassle. Best to spend 4 nights in one spot, as each town offers lovely hikes and views. I have been to Capri 10+ times, most recently for a full week. There is plenty to do there, if you like to walk. Positano is fun for no more than 2 days. I love Calabria: Monopoli, Lecce, Alberobello. Unlike the Amalfi Coast, Calabria is a region in which you can stay at one place and make day trips as long as you have a car. The drive from Naples is about 2 hours and easy, and the Bari airport is a good hub.
