Booked this Hotel and flight through Monarch after reading reviews and the cost was very low compared to other Hotels. The Hotel has the best view in Sorrento overlooking Marina Grande and out across the Bay of Naples towards Vesuvius.

With luggage I would get a taxi as the hotel is a bit of a walk and the last bit a hill however, without luggage it’s an easy walk in and out of town. We did the walk to and from the hotel a few times a day everyday. There is also the local bus stop just near the hotel entrance if you get sick of walking.

if you walk to the train station, there are reps outside who will help you sort your tickets, give you a sticker and instruction. when you get off the train at Pompeii, recognisable by your sticker, is your guide. he will sort out entry which saves waiting in the heat for entry. within minutes, you are being guided by a very experienced and qualified guide. We'll worth the couple of euro extra to knock an hours wait off
