Returned yesterday from a weeks stay in this hotel, all I can say is what a great place it is,although the hotel is quite dated, the staff are all very helpful, food wonderful, and a perfect location for exploring Sorrento and surrounding areas,so please ignore all the recent negativity about this place.

Stayed at the Cesare Augusto Hotel in August 2015 with Riviera Holidays. My wife and I went with an open mind as some of the reviews we had read were very negative. We found the hotel to be very good. It may be a bit dated but it is clean and comfortable. I requested a room at the rear of...

I almost don't want to write this review as when you've found a 'pearl' you don't want to share it! Hotel Cesare Augusto, in Sorrento, is that 'pearl'. It is clear to see why so many families/couples, when returning to Sorrento, always come back to this hotel as the hospitality of everyone who works there makes you feel special from...

Very nice hotel. The staff was very nice and Cristina in the reception was extremly helpful and serviceminded. Her knowledge about the city and tours was priceless. The location was excellent with a close distance to the city. Spent my 50th birthday there and do not have any complaints at all.

Stayed here will on tour in 2012. Hotel location is great for travelling around Sorrento , Capri and Amalfi coastline. Hotel facilities and staff were nice and pleasant enough. Walking distance to town center which was great after long day travelling to walk around this fabulous town. Recommend staying here while in the Amalfi area.

Stayed in July with my partner and adult daughter for a week, although we enjoyed our stay, this hotel could do with refurbishment but is spotlessly clean and tidy, rooms cleaned everyday. The restaurant was nice, and the staff very friendly, thanks to Mario and Nicola and the other waiters for looking after us and catering for my vegetarian daughter....

Wifi didn't work whatsoever, certain staff were very rude and we were locked out of the hotel one night for half an hour. Can only presume the member of staff was sleeping whilst we buzzed and buzzed. Lunch (paninis) were awful and cost 8 euros each, only plus point is the central location. The pool is very very small so...

Stayed here in August and not sure how other reviewers are giving it 4 stars or higher. It is old and run down and feels like I'm staying in a hospital. Bed is not comfy at all, air con is loud and the bathroom needs a refurb. Close to town square which is good. Pool area looked ok but would...

Stayed here on a Globus trip through Italy. No way can this hotel be called 4-stars in anything. In summary: Good: Location. Nothing else Bad: Everything about this dump The condition of this hotel is quite poor. It literally does not appear to have been updated since the late 70s or early 80s. Also, the rooms are quite loud. I...

My adult daughter and I stayed here for 8 nights in mid July this year. This hotel was in a brilliantly convenient location , only a 5 minute walk to the main bus/ train station and a 2 minute walk to the main town square with lots of restaurants and shops. Our room was big with a nice balcony overlooking...
