We stayed 3 nights in September, 2013, with a tour group and really enjoyed this fine hotel. Our room was spacious and overlooked the very large pool, the Bay of Naples with Naples and Mount Vesuvius in the distance. The buffet meals were complete and very tasty and we also had a wonderful lunch one day on the terrace above...

This hotel has some really great views. Too bad I did not get one from my room. The room numbering is a little crazy and the beds were a little hard, but not a bad stay. You would not want to walk this area a night. Not because it is unsafe, but there are no sidewalks. My wife and I...

We were on a tour and stayed 3 nights at the Grand Vesuvio in Sorrento. Our room had an incredible view of Mt Vesuvius. Our meals at the hotel were buffet and very good. Room clean and big compared to others we stayed at in Italy. Bed very hard (as they all are) but clean and I slept great. Pool...

Stayed at The Grand Vesuvio Sorrento in mid October, and had a great experience. All the public areas of the hotel are very tidy and clean, and have a quality feel. This included the bar area with plenty of comfortable seating, to the terrace area with it's view over the bay. We stayed as part of a large group on...

The Hotel itself is faultless. Food is standard European with a variety of pasta as well. Breakfast is continental but ample with scrambled/boiled eggs available. We paid extra for a front room with a balcony (342). Fantastic views over Sorrento the bay of Naples and Vesuvius. Magic sunrise and sunset effect. Room was big and bed comfortable. There is WiFi...

We stayed here for 3 nights on our way to Amalfi. The hotel is too far to walk from the train station and uphill all the way with no pavements, an opportunity blatantly abused by the town taxi drivers who charge exorbitant prices! €25 for 1km - possibly the most most expensive journey on the Amalfi. Once you're at the...

The Grand Vesuvio is in a great location for visiting this area, but is a little out of the main tourist area so you can;t easily walk to town. The staff are efficient but not very friendly and the restaurant served good food but had very little in the way of 'atmosphere'. Good clean rooms with a fabulous view over...

We stayed at this hotel for two weeks in Sept/Oct and I can echo all the positive views already given. We stayed on an all inclusive basis through Citalia and were very pleased we did as it made the holiday better value as eating out was quite pricey. I preferred lunchtime to dinnertime as there was a more relaxed atmosphere...

We spent 3 nights in Sorrento as part of a Gate1 Tour. We were given a room overlooking Mt. Vesuvius and The Bay of Naples. The room was large and comfortable and clean. The furniture was dated, but in good shape. It had a minibar and safe, satellite TV, and free wi-fi. (which only worked in the lobby). Our balcony...

We stayed here as two couples for 4 nights and found the service to be brilliant, apart from the front desk. They were pretty bad, but we just ignored them and asked the guys in the restaurant and the cleaning ladies for and info we needed. It's located up the mountain side a bit out of town, but there's a...
