Very comfortable hotel in the heart of Salerno's pedestrian shopping area. Not far from the railwaystation, not far from the beaches. My room was large with airconditioning. Very comfortable especially after a traintrip from Florence. Room has got everything what you need. Breakfast is served on the 5th floor and you can also have breakfast on the rooftop.Staff in hotel...

The price is reasonable, and you are very close to the train station, old town Salerno and the ferry terminal. The hotel lobby is very modern and attractive, while the rooms are much more basic (older). As long as you are not expecting a luxury property, you should be good to go.

This is a businessman's hotel, a 10 min. walk from train station. Room was small but clean and comfortable for one night. There is elevator. Two computers in lobby for guest use. Breakfast was on the roof and was generous and delicious. If the weather had been warmer, we could have eaten outside. Hotel is about 15-20 min walk from...

This hotel is in a very convenient location in Salerno; close to the train station and on the busy promenade in the city. It looks very sleek and modern from the outside and has great potential. However, it was plain to see that there was some renovating of the outside of the building going on. Nonetheless, we checked in only...

Great choice for your Salerno, Amalfi Coast or Capri experience. This hotel is in a great location. Steps from the train station, steps from the best shopping and restaurants, and easy access to the port for exploring the Amalfi/Sorrento Penninsula. The hotel has a great lobby and common area. Rooms are typical for Italy. Nothing special in the rooms department....

We stayed a pleasant 4 nights at this hotel on the pedestrian shopping street that runs between the station and the old town. It's an easy walk to the train station, buses or ferries either to Amalfi or Capri. Ours was a corner quad room on the top floor with a balcony and with the second double bed in its...

This is a basic hotel. If thats what you're expecting its a great place to stay. We got off the train and tried the Hotel Plaza first which was full then tried this place. I don't think I would pay the premium for a reservation, but if you travel without a schedule and need a place to stay in Salerno...

Just back from staying in The Hotel Montestella in Salerno. The hotel was conveniently located, very central but definately basic. The place was clean enough but a couple of the reception staff were a bit unfriendly and the cleaning staff had an annoying habit of gathering outside of our room early in the morning and chatting(loudly) for some time. This...

Hotel Montestella is pretty basic, nothing fancy, but a good value and a great location. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the train station, two short blocks to the seashore and about 5 minutes to the start of the historic district. Located on Corso Vittorio Emanuele, a main walking street closed to vehicular traffic, it’s a great spot for exploring...
