We took the ferry to Salerno from Amalfi. The staff offered to pick us up at the port even though it was only a 10 minute walk. After checking in, Alfonso insisted on driving us to the apartment rental and took us on a little tour of downtown, suggesting restaurants along the way. He was extremely warm and kind. His... More

The hotel is right in the center of the city, which is one of its advantages. The rooms are OK, not more than that. Clean, comfortable, not too big. Breakfast is typically Italian: some juice, coffee, croissant. Biggest drawback: there is no elevator and you have to haul you luggae (eventhough the lady at the reception was really helpful). Besides,... More

Great hotel hidden behind the Grand. Very short walk to train station. Extremely comfortable room with large bathroom and balcony. Very friendly staff. Wifi was super fast. A very comfortable place to stay and very good value for money. Would highly recommend

We choose this hotel after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor. No question, it was a good choice. We received a small apartment in via Velia. This was a good location near the sea and the pedestrian streets. The view was not nice on the back of another building with a lot of a stuff on the floor. The railway... More

The room was fabulous with a balcony attached. It was cosy and very neat n clean. This hotel gives u a more family feel where everything was on the house. You could just treat yourself to a drink. - But please do not go there for free drinks. :) Apart from that they were very helpful. The owner helped me... More

The owner Alex was extremely nice and helpful. He helped us with many tips about Amalfi and we could use his phone for making reservation calls. At night he brought us limoncello and there is a fridge with cold water and wine for free. The room was also very nice and clean. The breakfast was fine. We had a wonderful... More

Don't have any illusions, this isn't the Ritz. But the staff kinda treats you like you were at the Ritz. I don't think we've ever had such a warm welcome, and we were pampered with free drinks and espresso throughout our stay. You really couldn't ask for better hosts. It a small, comfy hostel-like B&B. The room was clean and... More

We stayed here for one night as a base to visit Paestum before we set off to Puglia. The room was quite small (although did have a balcony) but clean and comfortable and perfectly adequate for two of us. Breakfast was lovely with a good variety and decent amounts. The glass of limoncello when we arrived after a long day... More

We traveled to Salerno as a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teenage children) to use Salerno as a base to visit both the Amalfi coast, as well as the Pompeii site. Traveling to Pompeii from Salerno was only a 30 minute drive by car on the Autostrada (tolls 2 Euros each way). We also traveled to the Amalfi... More

“We had two rooms -- the one opposite the check-in desk was smaller than the other one down the hall (first one on the left) which had a sofa and a larger bathroom and a frig. We worried a bit about noise from reception, but didn't have any problems with that.”

“Ask for a room in the main building where the reception area is. There are other rooms that are a ways away from the central check in. These are lovely and well decorated and even spacious but if you need questions answered there is no one to ask. We got around just fine though.”

“The room along the road, north of the train station is a great apartment, with kitchen facilities as well. It is closer to the restaurants and VERY private. We wish we had longer at this place.”
