What a great B&B! Francesco was helpful from start to finish. He responded promptly when I inquired about the booking and provided plenty of attractions information. I stayed at the Amalfi room; newly renovated, very spacious with great ceiling height. I particularly appreciated the warmth welcome from Francesco, his mother and father.

Such great value. Salerno Centro B&B is a family run small B&B in what used to be a convent. Francesco and his parents Lina and Pascuale run it with great attention to detail and a generous spirit of hospitality. They made great recommendations of things to do and places to eat. You can't go wrong staying here.

We enjoyed our short stay at this B & B. Francesco was great. He helped us find the location and took us to the train station as well. We took a cooking class with Francesco's Mom. It was very fun. His dad joined us for dinner and was very funny. Breakfast was excellent too. Location is convenient as well -...

I don't think I'll be able to say enough good things about Francesco and his family. From the second I booked the B&B I felt like I was going to be staying with my own family. Once we arrived in Salerno Francesco offered my husband and I a free ride from the train station. We were greeted by his mother...

Francesco and his parents Lina and Pasquale are wonderful people who made me feel like the most important thing in their lives was to make my visit perfect. They manage the perfect balance of being attentive and helpful without being intrusive. The Positano room was spacious, the big double bed was so comfy, lots of room for clothes, a minifridge,...

We stayed three nights at this B&B in the heart of Salerno's historic town and loved it. The place is conveniently located between Via Roma and Corso Vittorio Emanuele and just 800 metres from the railway station. Salerno is a beautiful city with regular and reliable train services to Naples or south to the Amalfi Coast. The Corso is a...

Francesco and his family are wonderful hosts! They picked us up from and took us to the train station which was greatly appreciated since we had a lot of luggage. Francesco gave us lots of helpful information on local restaurants and historic sites to visit. The room was spacious and clean with a comfortable king size bed. The B&B is...

Recently stayed at the Salerno Centro Bed and Breakfast in January 2017. Our host, Francesco was incredibly welcoming and accomodating. Francesco had sat down with us and discussed what locations we wished to visit, recommended other locations we might like and then he thoroughly explained how to travel to these locations. The rooms are very well furnished and exceptionally clean....

We were wanting to give our teenage children an authentic Italian experience. Our expectations were exceeded!! Francesco, Lena and Pasquale made every effort to ensure our stay was perfect. They made us feel like a part of their family. We were lucky enough to participate in a private cooking lesson with Lena. Learning secrets directly from an expert and enjoying...

We were centrally located and could walk to many amazing sites. We took the owners up on an opportunity to go with them to their home and have lessons to cook a traditional Italian main course and dessert. We were in their home about four hours preparing the food and then enjoying the meal we had cooked with them. It...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Salerno Centro" Bed and Breakfast is housed in a former convent of 15th century. We are located in the main square of salerno, about 800 meters from Salerno train station: a simple and pleasant 10-minute walk along the pedestrianized Corso vittorio emanuele, the most important shopping area of Salerno. You can choose between three very comfortable rooms with private or en-suite bathroom with free wi-fi connection and air conditioning. The free wi-fi connection is also provided in the wide common spaces. A limited made-to-order breakfast is served on a beautiful terrace which you relax yourself after the trips around Salerno. The intercity buses and the ferries to Amalfi, Positano and Capri are all 10 minutes away. There are many cafes, bars, restaurants and shops in the immediate vicinity, and the local bus lines are just a few steps away. Salerno deserves a full day or more just by itself, and can be used as a citybase for daytrips to the Amalfi coast, Cilento coast, Capri, Paestum, the Royal Palace of Caserta, Pompei, Ercolanum and Naples itself."Salerno centro" will be your home away from home. ... more   less
