Certificate of Excellence
Villa Maria Luigia, belonging to the Amendola family, is the result of a careful and refined renovation of an elegant villa dating back to the 900's. The villa, with its wonderful views, is situated just over than 1km from the center of Amalfi, away from the chaotic Piazza Duomo. Its position allows you to reach the historic centre quickly but offers peace and quiet when you want to relax. And it is with the same elegance, cordiality and experience and a touch of sobriety and Mediterranean modernity that "Villa Maria Luigia" is launched as the ideal destination for those wanting to stay in Divine Amalfi and to be pampered surrounded by comfort and cordiality. Admire the unique views of the Amalfi Coast and Cilentana with the giddy sensation of being suspended between the sky and the sea.

A writer colleague and I took a group of writers to the Villa Maria Luigia for a week for a writers retreat. It was awesome! We were a mile or so from the center of Amalfi, so it was quiet and we were able to meet in the mornings on any one of three different terraces and get wor

The staff were great, and the view is beautiful. But.
The walk down to the city centre is crazy. There are no footpaths for sections of it, with insane Amalfi traffic over the high cliff levels.
It’s a dangerous walk to and from the city centre and this honestly made us move hot

Our family of 4 had a great stay at Villa Maria Luigia and we would stay there again and recommend it. We had a larger room with two twin beds added for the kids, with a nice little balcony and beautiful water views and views up and down the coast. The staff was friendly and he

My wife and I spent two nights at Villa Maria while visiting the Amalfi Coast. The hotel is in an excellent location. A 15 minute walk to Amalfi and nearby to a beach (350 stairs down the cliff) The beach is wonderful and quiet. It has a restaurant for lunch and is out of the way

My husband and I visited in June 2018 for 2 nights while we explored Amalfi. We had booked a Superior Sea Side view and that is exactly what we got.

The hotel is in a great location. The walk into city center is an easy 18 minute walk (with a lot of beauty to distract you) and

Dear Customer, thank you for your stay. We are very pleased with the nice words you have had towards us and that you had appreciate the beauty of the place. We also thank you for the tip on the beds and, it seems to be funny, but you've stayed in one of the last 4 rooms where they had not been replaced yet ...! In fact, we have renewed the entire mattress park of the villa with new and modern mattresses in memory, and today, practically in "your" room there are new ones! We invite you to come and try again to spend another holiday with us!

yes please does the room with partial sea view have more than window and a door to the terrace? thank you
Dear Guest, we always suggest to go on our website amalfivillamaria, where during the booking process (or also only to check availability), you can see exactly the pictures of the room you are reserving. Moreover, we suggest to use our website for all the information, because only here the content are made by us directly. And now, with the end of the "parity rate", you can find only on the direct website amalfivillamaria, the real best rate guarantee. Now, reserving on portals on line, easy to pay much more than direct website; because many times, the hotels charge the commission fees on the rates of the portals online than the rates for a direct reservation. Please, try to check yourself for the same kind of room and the same period, and verify who say you the truth !

Hello, Can anyone tell me the best way to reach the villa from Naples airport? We would be landing around 7.30pm. Many thanks Adam
Dear Mr Adam, a cheaper solution from Napoli to our Villa is take a train from Napoli to Salerno. When you’ll be in Salerno, just in front of the railway station, you can take a bus to Amalfi. Otherwise, at about 1 km, there is a pier where you can take a ferry directly to Amalfi. When you’ll arrive in Amalfi station, you must change the bus, taking the first one to Positano or Pogerola or Agerola (these are differents lines that link Amalfi to the Villa) and ask to the driver to set you down at Villa Maria Luigia (this last ride take only 2-3 minutes). Usually, we recommend our private transfer that pick you up from Napoli (airport or station or other place and at any hour) up to our hotel. The cost is € 110,00 one way (2 pax) (instead of about € 150,00 of the public taxi service). On our website, you can find other information in “How to reach us” section. Kind Regards

What is the best way to get from the Amalfi port (after coming from Capri) to the hotel?
If you are in Salerno take the ferry and then a taxi. Ask the cost for the taxi before you get in. It should only cost 15 euros.

we are looking at driving to Amalfi from Rome. Where would we park if we stayed with you for 2 nights? Thanks
Dear guest, the Villa has a garage (or parking at 100m), available upon request and subject to availability, at € 18,00 per day. The service is subject to availability and must be requested at time of booking (it will not be guaranteed on arrival). We inform you, that in Amalfi there are no free spots where to park, because all parking spaces are reserved for residents. The public parking has a rate that ranges from 3.00 to 5.00 euro per hour. Best regards Alessandra
