We stayed here for 3 nights in July and loved it. The owners - and their lovely daughter - were so welcoming and couldn't have made us feel more comfortable. It is off the beaten track - but that's part of its charm. Fabulous walking in the area - around Castelmezzano. Facilities at the agriturismo are excellent. The pool area...

Family-owned, smaller agriturismo, in lovely mountain setting. We were on our way back to Naples from a week drive through southern Italy and wanted a nice place to stay the night and relax. Surpassed our expectations. We really enjoyed the personal interactions with the proprietors, Pino and Maria Giovanna, and were touched by their hospitality. After the long drive, we...

This is our second 'agritourismo' hotel, though not by design. The weather had turned bad that day with thunderstorms and downpours. Our GPS directed us to a road that was closed. When we were thinking about changing to another hotel, we got an email from the hotel that informed us of an alternate route which we were able to follow...

Wonderful view of the valley below from my room! I stayed 2 nights and had 2 terrific suppers and 2 terrific breakfasts. Run by a wonderful couple (speak French and Italian - not so much English). Great area for walking. A balm for anyone seeking a rest from the noise and squalor of Italian cities. There is a locked gate...

We spent a night here after visiting Laurenzana where my grandfather was born in 1885. Basilicata Province is beautiful. La Foresteria adds to the experience. Our hosts Pepino and Maria Josepha welcomed us warmly. Our large room had a terrific view of the Luccean Dolomiti mountains. Dinner was excellent local fare, much of which was from their garden. Nice breakfast...

finding the place is not easy, its location on booking.com is, i think, inaccurate. people in the village bar gave conflicting directions as well. there are signs but not enough. the setting is really nice and the rooms very comfortable. evening meals have to be requested beforehand but its worth doing so. the meals are just wonderful. not a lot...

You could only find this place if you were seeking it out, and even then, you'd better have a good gps, because phones don't work. It is in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of nowhere. But once you find it, you will be richly rewarded. The facility itself is the former monastery for an ancient nearby church. The...

Happened upon this beautiful place for a two night stay in July. It really couldn't have been any better. The room was pretty, well appointed and spotless, with stunning views. Adriana and her family could not have been more helpful. They made us feel completely welcome from the moment we arrived. The food was amazing - with salads fresh from...

This was just perfect! The location in the mountains, (with good signing along the road), the nice room, the pool, the friendly and helpful staff and the food we had. I had read it´s earlier very good reviews and was afraid I might be disappointed due to high expectations, but they were all fullfilled! A perfect place for rest and...
