Our room was huge and strangely shaped. It was a cave after all.
All rooms are carved out of the natural limestone mountain. Tiles and other materials are added in some places. You can find fossils on the walls. The halls go up and down...More

Unique place with awesome rooms. The price was fair, the bath is also fine. We got superb breakfast (with live piano music!!). And the crew speaks english (it's a big thing in this region :D)

The pool has a separate fees of about 20 euros. It needs to be paid even if you are hotel guest, and outsiders can also pay to use the pool. Im not sure of the exact timings but I think it closes around 8 or 9 pm. It is open throughout the year as it is a warm lagoon spa located in the basement of the hotel.
It was certainly one of the highlights of our trip to Matera and would recommend it to everyone.
